Good performance yesterday, but I would like to see him as the more advanced of the 3 in midfield. Tiote and Cabaye can exchange places and patrol the lines in front of the defence, and Guthrie should be the one in or around "zone 14" or whatever it was called. I think he can get a few more goals from that position as he can certainly hit them. I have more faith in the engines of Cabaye and Tiote to be able to do the running to defend or help in attack, than I do Guthrie's.

Very well played from the gaffer today. IMO he must make it his number 1 priority this summer to work on a solid attacking strategy to take us into next season. He must convince all of our big name players that if we play to their best abilities, plus with the addition of a couple of astute signings, the sky's the limit. And it starts with the remaining games. He must give the players the self belief that they can fulfill their professional dreams at NUFC. If he does this well, and adds 2 or 3 good players to the squad, we can avoid dramatic transfer saga's in the summer, and have a good pre-season.

I don't feel sorry for someone who earns as much as he does. The treatment he got today was expected, and was not distasteful. It's all a part of being a modern day footballer. He surely must have expected it, and at the very least had people around him at his club who will have warned him it would happen. All part and parcel.

Just managed to bring myself to post here after that win. And what a glorious win it was! Liverpool Football Club in 2011/2012 is the epitome of everything I hate about football. Two more from Cisse, another good game from Ben Arfa....Can't ask for more really. An on form front 3 can easily jet propel us up the league even at this stage of the season. We must have the most in form forwards at the moment, and I even fancy us to be ahead of Chelsea in the table by the time we play them away. I'm not normally that optimistic, but it just seems like the team has finally clicked on the footballing front to go with the incredible team spirit we continue to show week in week out.
