  1. I take it he is now back with us, giving that Doncaster's season ended at the weekend. I wonder if he is in with a shout for the first team squad.

probs come back with an injured tongue or summat  :kinnear:

  2. i once went to a mackem game pissed out of head with my best mate (who is a mackem). I was wearing my toon top under my jacket and kept on shouting how s*** the mackems were during the game.  Some old boy a few seats along thought i was a real passionate fan and started applauding me for the dedication i showed.  sat down and said nothing much after that. :-[

  3.

What a cretinous shit-stirring article. Shaun Cuntis is a dweeb, and couldn't write a solid piece to save his life.

Either way, if this is true, and Shearer just can't seem to lift his squad, he should literally drop the entire first team, bar one or two, and play a full team of the youngsters. Just to prove a fucking point.

  4. He knew KK being brought in would increase revenue and he knew it would be the same way if he got Shearer in. The way KK was treat mad eit obviouse the man if an idiot who looks to make a quick buck, he has no long term plans. The furthest he is looking ahead is to selling as many players as he can once we go down then selling the club and moving on leaving us in s*** state. He will also be looking at the option of what he does if we stay up, no way will Al stay to be given no dosh and to see his top players sold. We stay up I reckn JK will be back in no time and we will carry on signing Nolan types while we sell players like Oba,Beye,Jonas,Bassong anyone he can get a decent price for will be sold.

    to achieve what exactly?

  5. No.

I can still be won over by him, of course. If we somehow escape this mess we're in and then he gets his act together in the summer and starts running us in a competent fashion, then I'll support him again.

Not that he will mind you, the man's clueless.

Basically when it boils down to it we're all fickle c***s.

    Speak for yourself! cunt!

  6. Howay then five people, speak up.

I support the hope he represents in rectifying his mistakes and allowing Shearer (or in the event he wants no part of it next season, someone competent) to build this club up again and move us forward. The low ebb we're facing has always been coming after the relative success of the past 15 years. Time to rise up again. Hopefully quietly but confidently, starting next season.

Oh, and let me make it clear that should Shearer not stay on beyond this season, and KINNEAR returns full-time, for me Ashley would deserve no more chances and must go.

  7. Went to the game today hoping they lost.  Its unbelievable the atmosphere is s***, They boo their team more than some of our mongs and every song is about Newcastle.  Even my friend was embarressed by how many anti Newcastle songs there was.   I think they sang a Sunderland based songs three times

Does that song go."Oh how i wish we were Newcastle, and have Mum's and Aunt's who were different people."?

     :mackems:

  8. Didn't pick this up via the telecast - as i was away from my viewing set, on a couple of occasions - but i refer to the The Independent's post match review.

This observation and i'm paraphrasing ,"Mike Ashley, in the directors box, chuckled as Shearer was teased by the home support with the 'You should've stayed on the telly' chant.

Disappointing to say the very least, if true.

 why is it disappointing when Shearer himself acknowledged the kop, came out of the dugout, and gave them a wave and a smile?

      :omg: MIKE CHUCKLED!!

  9. Samuel Eto'o may be on his way to Man City.

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/5232631/Manchester-City-line-up-record-40m-Samuel-Etoo-bid.html

Even though Eto'o has said he wants to stay, there is only a year left on his contract and Barca may well think this is to much money to say no to, especialy if they do sign David Villa.

It's not a dig at you personally MJ, but I think you'll find that nobody on here gives a f*** at this particular moment in time.

On a thread entitled 'other clubs transfers' what would you prefer to read?  :kasper:

He posted right after the Pompey game when everyone on here was down in the dumps. That's all. Hence the "this particular moment in time"

  10. If you put Samuel Eto'o and Stepehen Ireland in the same team you can bet the US governement will reopen the Roswell case

With the entire Citeh squad to choose from, you pick their best player? Not another chip on your shoulder surely?

If anything I'd rephrase that and put Darius Vassell or Michael Ball or Dickie Dunne

I think you missed the point slightly

    did i fuck!!??

    i did miss the point didn't i  :-[

    someone care to enlighten me?

  12.

Don't want to turn this thread about Duff tbh, but out of our under-achieving lot, he is probably the one most likely to revive his career under proper guidance and management. Since he's been here we've had Roeder, Allardyce, Keegan, Kinnear and now Shearer. He's an experienced player, and although his legs have gone, a good manager could still use his footballing intelligence in a stable side.

  13. How much investment in the first team would you see Ashley putting in during the summer, with Shearer staying as Manager?

We stay up - £40 mil

We go down - Zilch, He sells up.

    :bluestar:

We'd probably sell Martins, Jonas and Barton. Then bring in Bobby Zamora, Nick Barmby and Danny Murphy. While making a profit of course.

    Murphy wont come here.

Exactly. His performances this season piss all over our entire squad's bar Bassong's

  14.

They are the product of a decade spent without a coherent policy, without consistency of thought, without a clear way forward, without direction, without care. They need a man who can provide for them, a manager who is empowered and who will be unencumbered by the type of amateur advice and assistance that have dragged this club down for too long.

    so sad but so true

  15. before monday i thought 7 points would probably keep us up. 1 down 6 to go. more worrying was the performance. apart from the back 4 we were all over the place and played with the desperation of a championship club a goal down to a prem club with 10mins left of a cup tie.

themanpstairs----------i'd reccomend some form of psychotherapy.

Howay old man! I was referring to a post you made on another thread about how we always do it the hard way. It's the only hope I have left in me.

  16.

Howay lads!!! we can do this, and we fucking will!!!

We're just doing it the hard way as with everything else NUFC related.

One thing I've learned from these forums the past 5 years is that madras knows what he's talking about.

madras for president/chief of the world  :clap2:

  17.                Harper

    Beye Coloccini Bassong Duff

        Barton Butt Jonas

                   Owen

        Viduka          Martins

I like Guthrie, but he was poor yesterday and I really want Barton back in the team, as he is without a doubt our best midfielder when in form (which he probably won't be, still reckon he's the best even when not match fit). Think we'll need Jonas to carry the ball for us, he'll help us take a bit of pressure off the defence. Might be a bit harsh on dropping Smith, thought he looked one of your best players yesterday, he even took a couple of shots, more than he did all of last year tbh.

    You've quit already then?  :smug:

I've never been a real fan as I'm not Toon-based like

    Same here

    Let's elope

  18. Are we still accepting all of this is Keegan's fault though?  :sadnod:

Of course mate. Fancy leaving us with only 35 games left with which to save ourselves

It would be the same if he left us with 38 or 8 games to play. He knew the turmoil it would cause. SBR would have fought on and tried to get football played with what he had.

SBR would have done what was best for himself, like he always has done. Fair play to him for that though.

SBR bit his tongue and soldiered on when Kluivert, Butt and Carr were signed over his head and when Speed was sold behind his back.

...AND IT GOT HIM NOTHING BUT THE SACK.

    Mate.....that avatar!!! :(

Please dude some of us are at work  :suicide:

  19. You know what, this f***ing negativity lark is getting on my f***ing tits. "Oooh, we're in a title race and they're in a relegation battle and they'll be scrapping for every point." Are you f***ing serious? They couldn't fight their way out of a f***ing wet Echo. For all Shearers chest beating, they are playing like a side who have already given up. Put it like this, if the mistakes we made last week against Arsenal had been against them, the final score would have been 4 - 0 to us. They're absolutely s**** and we will f***ing batter them. I don't just believe it, I know it. Rafa and Dirk will be on the touchline giving it the old "game over" gestures after about 20 minutes, after which they'll do a quick "Let's Do The Time Warp Again" topped off  by Gerrard and Torres doing a nice little "Hey Macarena." The f***ing state of those useless clueless twats, if they parked the bus, they'd probably park it in a f***ing disabled bay and get it towed away.

    :sadnod:

Howay man what you on there reading that mind-polluting s*** for?

    :(

I think it's very accurate actually.

 I knaa man!! Just didn't need to read it in fucking print. Now my eyes hurt fkn bin dipping swine flu spreading cunts

  21. Testa Mora, you appear to be a black hole of depression and negativity today. It's understandable but if I were you I wouldn't spend any more time reading about Newcastle today. It's not helping your mood.

You couldnt have summed it up better. I couldn't even get to sleep, couldn't even speak a civil word to anyone after. It's how horrible it all is, it's made me sell crack. Football is not just a game.
