Feeling better about Sunday already
-
Injuries have blighted him, but having a manager like Pardew has been an absolute curse on the poor lad. A very talented player who's totally undervalued by a clueless dinosaur. All those times he could have played him off the striker but couldn't stand not playing Shola instead.
-
Absolute clown of a commentator. Heard him describe someone as a 'real grafter', and because of that 'a massive player for them'. Horrible.
-
Such a shame we've beaten Chelsea, Liverpool, Man City etc. Because we'll lose this it would have given him fuck all to stand on, and potentially sparked mayhem. But no, 'no one else could do any better, sing your hearts out for the lads man, howay who cares we just lost to the mackems again- they're shite....toon army toon army'
-
If sticking by the manager to avoid being called fickle is class then They will of course get absolutely no mention/thanks by our parasite manager. 'They sang too loud it woz well bad to our stuff and our fret'
-
This is all Ben Arfa's fault. If he had just tracked back this would never have happened!

Preparation for Sunday...
-
Now we're out of the cup, I pretty much hope we lose all the rest of the games this season bar the derby's, just to increase any sort of chance that this cunt will leave our club. Fuck those who think 'well who else are we going to get', there will be no one worse bar Joe Kinnear. And no one will be as unlikable as this goblin. I can't take this anymore.
-
Not a chance in hell we will beat these cunts on Sunday.
-
Definitely just draws dicks in the form of Ben Arfa. Bet he has that same obsession as the kid from Superbad.
-
Did his ACL not so long ago. Not a chance we could sign him and get him to play straight away. Nor would we pay his wages either.
-
Spurs are so beatable. If I actually liked NUFC still I'd be in a state of desperation right now. Again, their forward movement is just so much better than ours (like every team we face).
-
I'd love to see The King take on Sir Killalot. The king would get a fluke win over Sir Killalot and then get taken out by Matilda.
-
Shame, as his manager has been so supportive of him in the media...
-
I think because Shearer didn't tend to beat men with dazzling tricks or, certainly in the latter half of his career, beat defenders for pace, people think he had no technique. The reality is that Shearer had a brilliant touch on him and a great crossing ability, together with his ability to bring others into the game - that is much a part of your technique as skinning players on the wing is. Add to that his ability to score every type of goal and you've got an absolutely world class striker. I absolutely agree, well said. I think in today's game players like Shearer are discriminated against because they aren't the typical 'modern' player, the likes of Messi, Aguero, Suarez etc- small, fast players who weave in and out of opponents and always look to get in behind defences. England has a very proud history of producing great strikers, or 'target men', but I feel that we have made ourselves almost feel guilty about those players; like they've gone out of fashion and have no place anymore (which is rubbish, look at the amount of goals scored by a striker from crosses still- Carroll, Dzeko, Manduzkic, Costa, Llorente etc.). But, as people have said, Shearer was a proper CF. An absolute bully but a phenomenal footballer with outstanding technique. How he struck a ball was just unique.
-
He's not given enough time. He's also not in a system that suits him. In Ajax they obviously value possession of the ball and possess CB's comfortable on the ball to distribute it into a CM who drops in to collect the ball- this has never been possible with Williamson playing behind him. For example, in the derby last year all we did was launch it up to Shola, non-stop. This rendered players like Anita and Ben Arfa totally useless. He's a very clever player and technically excellent. I was talking to one of the strength & conditioning coaches at the club last year and he said he thought Anita was the most athletic player in the side. I find that surprising but even more so that that doesn't work in his favor considering Pardew's values in a player.
-
You also have to take into account Ben Arfa's injury (which was sustained whilst starting). I think it is fair to say that he valued Hatem a whole lot more than Pardew, as his approach/view on the game is definitely different to Pardew's.
-
No matter what you say about Hughton, like Pardew was an upgrade ffs. Hughton any day. Fair enough, he wasn't tactically prolific but he installed a system that accommodated the strengths of the players that we had. Carroll developed very well under him, whilst he got Joey Barton to settle and made him a strong part of our team- his crossing and set piece delivery was fantastic for Carroll/Nolan. He even played Ben Arfa; he wasn't opposed to players who could create and destroy. We had a direct way of playing but it was very effective, as we stormed the Championship and got off to a pretty good start in the Premiership (when you take into account we actually invested minimally that summer we went up- only Ben Arfa, Tiote, Campbell, Perch, and Gosling brought in). He wasn't afraid of the mackems, or playing Arsenal/Chelsea away. I've really ever felt so sick and angry at a decision at the club that I did over his sacking/Pardew's appointment. It was so obvious what had happened. It was even more obvious that Pardew was no more of an improvement than Chris, a step back in fact. Over the course of that season there were no obvious improvements to our style of play, nor was there an obvious system in place. And, once again, Pardew failed to cope with the selling of Carroll (a star player)- remember that 0-1 defeat away to Fulham that night? Dreadful, dreadful. As people have stated, the pride that we had in our club was so much more (well, it actually existed) than what this cunt in charge has dragged us down to.
-
I'm sick of Pardew picking this guy ahead of Anita. Poor Vern must be baffled- imagine Colback being picked to play in an Ajax, Feyenoord, or PSV side? Laughable. Sad thing is that the majority of the going-crowd are in love with this guy, as they are with Pardew.

You can't win. It's impossible to have a remotely sensible discussion with a bloke who considers a 4-1 loss as 'a good performance'. Fans are too loyal. They worship anything. They believe anything they're fed and they'll not hear a bad word said about their club. I'd even go as far as saying they're as big a problem as Pardew is. They are, the absolutely are, midds. I had that type of loyalty until I was about 11-13 years old before I started thinking for myself and the bigger picture for the club. People have no regard for the history of this club and what it means to English football. It's being strangled. Also, shock horror- there were doubts over Arsenal's capabilities tonight and they were there for the taking, so he bottles it because he knows he can't set up a team to go and win a game (proactively). I'm not talking about playing a defensive line up to the half way, I mean getting in behind Arsenal; not once did we make a run like that of Welbeck's for the penalty. It's all played in front, give it to Ameobi (woeful player) and hope he beats the full back on the outside (his only move) and gets a cross in. Play Perez on the shoulder of Mertesacker, arguably the slowest CB in the league? Oh no, play him on the wing instead. Whilst to sum it all up we drop arguably our most technically gifted player (again) in Cabella and bring him on 0-2 down- what the f***ing Christ does Ameobi offer that he doesn't? Sammy is absolutely hapless, just like Colback, Gouffran, and that Conference League CB he insists on playing beside Colo. We're going to have to break down the mackems next week but he can't, we'll play this same team we did today (+Sissoko if we're lucky) and the c***s will mug us again. Losing to them last year was the last game I've been to, and ever will under Pardew/Ashley, and if we lose again I will be absolutely done with the club in every sense. 20 years ago we had genuine ambitions of winning this league. Had Cantona screwed his shot wide then I firmly believe we would have done it too. We wanted to win the league and it wasn't a pipe-dream either, we had the players and the manager to do it. We came up short eventually but we gave it a f***ing good go. Fast forward 20 years and we have thousands of fans who are perfectly happy just to compete in the same league. They look at the worst case scenario and build from there. At least we're not Leeds/Portsmouth. At least we're not Sheff Wed. At least we're not Boro. At least we're in the PL etc. Be grateful, it could be worse, it has been worse, phew - we're still cannon-fodder for the really big teams. The job Ashley, Pardew and his team have done to dampen down expectation and hope has been superb. They've taken a big club and managed, over the course of 5 or 6 years, to kill ambition, enthusiasm, pleasure and hope. They've stamped all of that out and the grown men who've seen us legitimately challenge for the title are now clutching at the morsels thrown from the top table, it's pathetic. These f***ing pricks are so meek that they accept their new role in the league without question. We're also-rans, insignificant, and it f***ing stinks. We very nearly won this f***ing league and the c***s who watched it happen don't even remember. It's criminal. Very very true I find it hard to take that people around my age bracket and older (40) people who remember them glorious years of 93-97 and the years under Bobby just take the s*** that is thrown our way these days. My club is a shadow of what it was its dead inside. Ashley Pardew and all these f***ing cronies have created this level of I don't give a f*** in myself , I cannot get excited for a win or depressed for a defeat it's just pure apathy and for that I hate them I'll never set foot inside SJP until these c***s are gone and that saddens me We once bought the best...competed with the best, sent them home from Newcastle with a spanked arse. Now we just roll over and die. Having such average players being lorded over likes of Gouffran,Williamson,Colback,Ameobi,Dummett these players are no better than the s**** we had as deepest squad fillers in previous years..des hamilton,Alex Mathie,Paul Robinson et all I'd take another relegation if it meant clearing the decks of these parasites and emotion suckers from the club. Just as long as I can have my club back my emotion for it and my excitement Sums everything up perfectly. If we were pure cack but had people in all parts of the club that cared and represented the club and it's values with pride, I would be happy. I crave to feel something for the club and our results again.

Pardew's yet to realise that even when you drop off the opposition, you've still got to apply pressure on the ball. There was little or no pressure on an Arsenal player when they were in our half- just allowed to play, we were simply shadowing them.

Needs to be assassinated asap.

If we lose (very likely) and the mackems have no escort from the ground, god fucking help them.
