So fucking stupid from Rooney. Far too late.
  2. Robben has the capacity to be an utterly atrocious finisher.
  3. Bear in mind he's unlikely to play more than 60 mins or so but 5/1 anytime for Barkley seems generous. Reckon he'll be really eager to impress and is, on paper, playing in the ideal position to get into excellent positions. Ox is 11/2 anytime which also represents good value IMO. Again, will probably only play max 60 mins but still.

Not by you, the answer was to a Q specifically about the devlopment in Ecuadorian football not just about their national team. Hodgson's legacy severely damaged by him missing that opportunity to give the journo a real good "u wot m8?"ing.

Hasn't Banega tailed off a fair bit from the initial expectations surrounding him, or am I making that up? Also Larsson is indeed absolute shite. It's cliche but he literally has one asset, his set pieces. He has no other redeeming features. He's also a cunt.
  6. Anybody watching these WC films on BBC? Got a few on iPlayer to watch. e.g. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b045p792/fifa-world-cup-official-film-5-1966
  7. Nice goal but hilariously pathetic defending.
  8. The question was prompted after seeing a series of awkward passes, none of which were in the right area, followed by a simple cross which ended in Row V somewhere in the corner.
  9. How have France/Germany played? Pretty poorly I'm guessing from the scores.
  10. Were Sweden always this bad?
  11. USA fully deserve the win, though Turkey have been in promising positions quite a few times. Some utterly terrible decision-making from them/sheer incompetence.
  12. That set piece. Always surprised just how thick footballers can be.
  13. Think them to reach the quarters at 14/5 is a decent bet. They would play the winners of Group E in all likelihood, and even if that turns out to be France, I give them a good chance. Dzeko at 66/1 each way for top scorer is my main bet I reckon. It's obviously unlikely (what 66/1 bet is likely?) but if he's going to be on the pitch plenty it's a smashing bet. Because if he's starting, I'd argue the odds should be more like 20/1, 25/1. Obviously stiff competition up top for the Argies. Could easily see him getting 4 or 5, and as cliched as it sounds, it's true that it can simply take one thrashing in the group game to give him a massive chance.
  14. I can see absolutely no justification to the belief that Uruguay will "walk away" with our group. Each to their own.
  15. Think them to reach the quarters at 14/5 is a decent bet. They would play the winners of Group E in all likelihood, and even if that turns out to be France, I give them a good chance.
  16. Hope mine goes better than the 2010 and 2012. Neither were a disaster by any means but given I thought I'd put a lot of research into it and finding some good value bets, I got bugger all reward for it. That's how it goes sometimes I guess. Hope a few things come to fruition here.
  17. I'll get round to summarising some of the main WC offers available. Seems to be some good ones out there. Particularly interested in knowing exactly how the Argies will line up. A dark horse long shot would surely be Dzeko to net a few goals if he gets plenty of game time.
  18. Enhanced odds, somewhere? Great value if not. Might jinx follow you on it. Nope. I put it on ages ago thinking it would shorten, but think I checked a week or 2 ago and it's still 33s. Well worth a tenner IMO.
  19. With that said: what's everyone got on ante-post? Haven't got a lot on myself, so far anyway. Got a bit on Spain, only other ante-post is Brazil/Messi top scorer double at 33/1.
  20. Do we? The vast majority of posts about betting in here would be about the WC anyway.
