Come off it man. Beren's a sound chap.

Family relations in Gateshead. Hope they do it. The players that is, not my grandparents. Think they'd struggle a bit.
  3. Fascinatingly shit rule about them going down because they're too small - http://www.espnfc.com/blog/_/name/laliga/id/1658?cc=5739 Wow, that's ridiculous. No idea how the fans must be feeling.
  4. So basically the Segunda Division is a farce.
  5. Aye I know, so do they basically get a pat on the back, a round of applause then they pretend like nowt's happened? Would the runners-up in the playoffs then get promoted instead?
  6. Perhaps not as spectacular as the Barca-Atletico title decider, but some issues still to be settled around Europe. La Liga - 2 relegation places still to be confirmed (Betis went a while ago). 2 from Valladolid, Osasuna, Granada, Getafe, Almeria. 19th placed Valladolid play 17th placed Granada. All the relevant games kick off at 5pm. Coming up to La Liga for 14/15 are..... well, don't know yet since the Segunda Division keeps playing for a silly amount of time. 3 games left, Deportivo looking good for (another) return, Eibar 2nd. Barcelona B currently 3rd - VI/others, what happens with them if they get "promoted"? Bundesliga - Hamburg are in danger of being relegated to the second tier for the first time in their history. Drew 0-0 with Greuther Furth at home in the first leg of the play-off, second leg is today at 4pm. Nurnberg and Braunschweig already gone. Coming up to the Bundesliga for 14/15 are Koln and Paderborn, with the final spot being filled by either Hamburg or Furth. Serie A - fuck all to play for. Top 6 will be the top 6 regardless of today's last fixtures. Livorno, Bologna and Catania relegated. Coming up to Serie A for 14/15 are Palermo (unsurprisingly ran away with Serie B), then the rest is yet to be determined. Crazy playoff system in Serie B involving 6 teams, 3rd-8th. Empoli currently in 2nd. Couple of games to go. tl;dr:
  7. I get that people might not be keen on Arsenal fans/lack of atmosphere at the Emirates/media overplaying this whole 9 years thing. But success is relative. I can exactly see why fans will be very frustrated with Wenger in recent years, even if his first decade was nothing short of exceptional. Arsenal going 9 years without a trophy is a major failure so it's clearly a headline when they end that drought. The whole "aww look at Arsenal fans not being sad anymore after their 10000000 year wait for a trophy"-style comments, man. Come off it. Going off here, most people get riled when other clubs' fans and media outlets poke fun at/give generalised, potentially inaccurate comments about Newcastle fans (deluded, they should be pleased with what they've got, etc)...... but it's alright to do it the other way round?
  8. Rodwell has an extraordinary amount of natural ability. His attitude, and more alarmingly his injuries took over.

    La Liga 14/15

He's fucking loaded like. Know he's been linked to a few clubs in the past. Rangers and Boro IIRC. Should help them out either way. Hope they get challenging in the CL places again next year.
  10. Funny that with guardiola incharge. Stop prontonise.
  11. Actually, wasn't Hummels offside for the disallowed goal?
  12. Domestic double in his first season but apparently he's not doing good enough.
  13. "Eccentric goalkeeper" apparently.
  14. What the hell is Weidenfeller doing?
  15. Avoided losing money, it seems.
  16. Ouch. Didn't look good at the time. Shit day for Barca. Not only failed to win the title, but gave Real a big helping hand next week.
  17. And another goal. I'm aware I love him a bit too much.
  18. Di Natale. Potentially last game for Udinese, twats a free kick into the corner.
  19. What's the German Cup final been like?
  20. Fuck me, BT straight in with the "Europa League could be a problem" line. IT'S FUCKING PROGRESS YOU FUCKING SHITEHAWKS.
  21. Think it's just the Arsenal fans and their terribly long wait for a trophy. It's awkward for us - most of us have never seen us win a trophy. Isn't it all relative? I can certainly see why fans would be getting annoyed. They have a right to be frustrated at a lack of success.
