  1. Yeah, great start. Had a very small cover bet on Hertha not to score @ 6/1.
  2. Think PP have done/are doing the same.
  3. i'd take a win, no doubt. honestly don't know anywhere near enough about thim to say if we 'should'. Certainly not going to claim to be any sort of expert on them, and the fact they're essentially in pre-season could help you a lot, but afaik they're a very decent side. They reached the last 8 of this competition last year I think? They look a very handy side and they'll fancy their chances of beating you. There seems to be a bit of a "get a few goals up then finish the job away" attitude among some on here, as though it'll be relatively straightforward. Think some could be in for a nasty surprise. I think it's 50/50 who goes through.
  4. I'm positive I read somewhere a few days ago that Sturridge was a doubt for tonight, fairly sure this hasn't just come about in the past 24 hours.
  5. Not an own goal and red card. Sent off for scoring an own goal. "Sorry mate but that was fucking abject, you're off."
  6. Got to say BTTS looks a very good chance given the amount of goals in both teams' recent games. Yep, followed you in on this. Sorry. But, would be a nice wee boost to the coffers if it does come through, and especially if it's done and dusted in the first half. Fingers crossed. Also going for Gerrard anytime, just waiting for the teams.
  7. Hmm, not sure if 5/4 is good value for Suarez to score and Liverpool win. More inclined to go for 15/8 on Gerrard anytime, or 12/5 on Gerrard anytime and Liverpool win.
  8. Thinking of under 2.5 goals myself in Betis game. It's a mentality which probably costs me money, but I hate betting on under goals/under points unless it looks overwhelmingly likely. Just hate the feeling of knowing my bet is over the second that defining goal goes in. Certainly think Liverpool will do the business tonight, unfortunately.
  9. Father Dougal to be the next Pope @ 1000/1.
  10. As it stands right at this moment? Definitely the push for Europe option. Short up front which will limit going further than that. As for Newcastle, probably the same.
  11. Oh, I misread it. So it isn't just picking different players to score in the same game. That's interesting actually.
  12. I'm considering just having a strike force of Lambert, Benteke and one other fairly low value forward. Thinking is if I get rid of Suarez (captain for these 2 games) for that other forward I can save a whole load of money (I've already got 2m spare I think), meaning I can really bolster my midfield. Was considering Cisse but 8.8 is pretty steep. Defence and midfield, with 1 or 2 exceptions, are really letting me down currently. Walters, Lennon, Snodgrass all in my midfield, all doing nothing. Had fuck all clean sheets recently either - think I'll get rid of Cole as he's expensive and frankly not doing much. So you can be sure that they're all going to do something once I get rid.
  13. Surely it'd be poor value? As different players scoring in the same game are not entirely independent events.
  14. More rampant bumming of Bale. As if that goal vs Norwich was better than the rest, not that much value should be given to Dion Dublin's opinion.
  15. Oh well, some very odd results (first time Porto have dropped any points at home) there but guess it evens a couple of unlikely small stakes ones I had over the past few days. As for midweek: Spurs to qualify against Lyon should be likely. Lyon looked gash tonight. I'll be backing Spurs in the home leg on Thursday @ evens. I think Real are poor value at 4/6 vs Man Utd. Likewise not keen on Juve at 5/6 at Celtic. You'd certainly expect them to get through but odds on at Celtic Park is a dangerous game. If they can beat Barca they can sure as hell beat Juventus. Who knows, could be wrong on all 3 counts.
  16. I of course went for that double instead of Rayo who I thought were great value. Having a very decent season and Atletico have been pretty shit away from home recently. But no, I thought I'd be "safe". Ah well.
  17. Copied you. I've bet on Porto once this season. They've conceded 1 goal in 9 home matches, guess which game I bet on them to win to nil? So I leave them for a few games and come back to them tonight. 2nd goal conceded at home. And Lyon... what the hell are they playing at? Good run or not, old habits die hard people.
  18. Porto -1, Lyon DNB double for later.
  19. Doesn't mean I wasn't* hurling abuse, that should say. Yeah, past few days just had a succession of singles and the vast majority have come off. No particular big win, just quite a few nice profits. The first significant stake I lose I'll be withdrawing some of it though as I know I'll just blow it all otherwise.
  20. "I was going to make about seven changes to the game but when I saw yesterday's result I changed that because we knew if we got a result it would put us in a fantastic position." Quite the endorsement of his squad players.
  21. Yup. £40 on them winning and £10 on the -1. Leave allegiances out of it - they were quite simply great value at 8/11 (5/6 some places) for the win and 2/1 for -1. Doesn't mean I was hurling all sorts of abuse at the screen when Naismith's boring fucking face appeared.
  22. Man Utd did a job on us today, fair play. We were barely able to create anything, and Fergie definitely played defensively today, especially in the 2nd half. Can't blame him either, they won the game in the 1st half so there's no need to risk us coming back. For the neutral though that would've been shit. Don't think I've seen them play so defensively/rigidly at home in quite some time.
  23. Completely went to script. Man Utd score early, we then play fairly well for 20-30 mins without doing that much, they score before HT to make it comfortable. Textbook performance from us at one of the big teams. Could get messy if Man Utd want to go for it.
  24. Basically a full strength side apart from Carrick. Would expect nothing less. Especially after the 4-4, Fergie will have put a rocket up them to get the win today and even if we play very well, it's hard to make a case for us getting something. If you were in a bit of mediocre form I'd fancy it but not today.
