  1. That awkward moment when you realise your national team is shit:
  2. That was a replica of Hibbert's screamer against you last season.
  3. 1-1 HT, you'd expect them to go on to win. How have they played? 8/13 on PP. As long as Ronaldo's on the pitch I'd fancy them to do it but I seem to recall Portugal quite often making a meal of games they should be winning comfortably.
  4. Apologies for breaking forum convention: had a £25 double BTTS in England v Brazil and Sweden v Argies.
  5. Haven't been impressed with Rooney for Man Utd either for a while, tbh. He looked ridiculously dangerous 5 years ago, but he's nowhere near that now. A very good, functional player with a very occasional moment of brilliance. To me, that represents a below-par state of affairs considering the insane natural talent he showed when he was younger.

  7. Luckily for you the Guardian is streaming it, also Rooney is a fantastic player and by far our best player. And he's not a striker so i'm not sure why its relevant. I'd go as far to say Rooney's career has been a disappointment thus far. He should be better than he currently is and have thought that since he was with us. He had the whole world at his feet at 19/20/21 and at this stage I expected to be putting him right among the best forwards in the world (albeit behind Messi and Ronaldo). I can't, though. Shame. He's still a very good player and probably the best we've currently got, mind.

Reyna IMO was a very decent player indeed, but if he's one of their greatest midfielders then that tells you everything you need to know about them.
  11. Obviously, it's an impossible task predicting individual games as inevitably teams have different patches of form/injuries and there will obviously be surprise results. 2 games ago who would have predicted you beating Chelsea? Likewise, if QPR are desperate for points I can see them beating you in the 2nd last game. I maintain what I said a while ago though, I think you'll finish top 10. In terms of points, as Nut says 50 seems an optimistic but achievable target given the amount of games left. It's true that you're not completely safe yet but the last 2 games have shown you have way too much quality for a serious relegation battle. That was already apparent on paper but, together with the new recruits, actually proving it on the pitch will have given everyone real belief of a strong end to the season. Top 10, 50ish points, use the momentum to start next season with a bang. That should be the aim surely.
  12. Yeah I stuck Johnson in, tempted to get Gerrard this week but that would be 3 relatively expensive Liverpool players (got Suarez too). But unfortunately I can see those 3 players getting a lot of points between now and the end of the season.
  13. I've got to say, since the Reading game - and that was a pretty damn low point - things could hardly have gone any better. Even something like Remy, someone Redknapp "poached" from under your noses, now apparently being out for the rest of the season.
  14. I'm not one to point at the WC being some sort of massive black mark against him - but (assuming England aren't going to win it) I'd be pleased if Messi and Argentina win it. People will still try to come up with something against him, mind.
  15. I mean, Shearer's volley against us was a decent connection and I guess he thought he might get it on target, but it really could have gone anywhere. 2/10, would not replay.

Marveaux and Gouffran are far, far superior to Johnson? If that's what you're saying, then IMO it's a tremendously deluded statement.
  17. Napoli's next game away to Lazio too.
  18. Anyone reckon Napoli have got the legs this season? Juve have still got to go to Naples, as well as Inter, Roma and Lazio.
