  1. I don't think Hughton's going to be very happy about the referee here.
  2. Tiote will almost certainly have a stormer here.
  3. Well thank fuck it's 2013 tomorrow then!
  4. Everton and their encouraging defeat versus our encouraging defeats, but who wins? Think of the positives! Oh why won't somebody please think of the positives?!
  5. Absolutely agree. Neither team can defend it seems so there should be goals.
  6. That's under the assumption we take our chances. We are one of the least ruthless teams in the entire league. Indeed we specialise in playing well, creating chances and not winning. Score draw.
  7. Completely and utterly predictable state of affairs today. One of those games where we missed Fellaini, and in the end the game couldn't have panned out in a more predictable fashion. Ultimately we're left with nothing whilst getting patronising comments of "well they tried hard" and "oh they hit the woodwork twice, so unlucky". The facts speak for themselves, and it's a massive failing of ours and has been for fucking ages. We are simply not ruthless enough, while Lampard shinned in a winner for them. They took their chances, we didn't. Still, today was hardly a disastrous defeat. It just, unfortunately, emphasised the difference between the best and the rest.

  9. "for supporters of our wee club"
  10. Can't believe I'm saying it, but Walters saved me from an atrocious week.
  11. Sadly, I still think they'll wash up around 6th/7th this season.
  12. Still firmly believe Lambert will do a good job with you providing he's given the time and support. These results, although potentially very damaging to morale, are not going to shape the long-term future.
  13. The intense questions could have killed him.
  14. I love Moyes' humour, it's so dry. His press conferences and interviews are consistently great, but I'm not sure if the humour is intentional. His handling of the press is generally class though. "Do you think Seamus Coleman has a chance of playing against Chelsea?" "A chance." "Is there any idea on a percentage chance?" "I don't do maths." -------------------------- "There was a story in the Independent about Leighton Baines, I was...." "Do you believe that paper?" "Well, I was just about to ask you whether...." "I don't read that paper."

It's a very conscious mentality seeping throughout the club. From manager, to players, to fans. Man Utd themselves are the only ones who can't see the consistently favourable treatment the club gets, as they childishly label any criticism as "bitterness". It makes the argument null and void as they simply refuse to listen to anything else. Btw, you missed out Paul "ho ho ho a cheeky scamp, he can't tackle can he? Ha! He nearly broke his leg there, the rascal" Scholes.

Why mate? As a football club Man United's turnover is larger they and have more income than any other football club in the world (inc Barca & Real) yet we can't compete with clubs like Chelsea, PSG, Man City. If you look at our net spend over the past 5 years it is actually less than a lot of other clubs in the Premier League. You're not under strict financial constraints if you can afford to go and buy Van Persie. If there was some sort of shoot-out between yourselves and the clubs you mention for a player, then I don't disagree other clubs have more financial clout. But that is an extremely specific and irregular situation. Your implication is that these "constraints" would prevent you from challenging for the league title, which is an absurd thing to say.

Kna not this time, after the Swansea game & now this is an old bloke cracking under the pressure, losing the title to City caused him to lose the plot he is rapidly becoming an embarrassment. If he's losing the plot and cracking under the pressure? We are currently 7 points clear and having already played all the so called bigger clubs away from home. Hardly a disaster, the pressures on for sure but better that than being stuck in mid-table going nowhere. From the manager to the fans. Pathetic, and struggling to form a coherent argument.

Financial constraints. If Stoned Moses is typical of Man Utd fans then the stereotypical opinion of them living in a fantasy land is in fact rather accurate.

This is what I'm confused about. The Williams comments were in my mind no more than an exercise of diversion since they dropped points - due to not taking their chances. But they won this game. It's completely unnecessary and pathetic, and it's a real shame that a man of such exceptional managerial ability comes out with utterly childish stuff like this.
