How can the transfer window slam shut when Sunderland have already set it alight? Or have those in control gone to Safestyle UK to fit a new window? It's free fitting.
In fairness you can't say we don't have forwards/strikers to choose from. We've probably had about 10, maybe more, who have played this year; just unfortunately the majority of them are shite.
Their problem wasn't Lescott, their problem was a complete lack of urgency. The last moments of the game summed things up - 10 seconds of injury time to go, they had a throw-in in their half and their player wandered over and delayed the throw-in for the remaining seconds.
Found his level with us as a key player. Admittedly I sort of can't blame him going looking for CL football but didn't like the way he kept us hanging for months.

Moyes confirms he's given permission for Spurs to talk to Saha.
Against a defence of Hibbert, Heitinga and Neville, Man City didn't have a clear chance all game. Closest they game was a long distance shot from Nasri that was about it.
God I love our hoodoo we have over that lot.
Our game's going pretty much as well as I could have realistically hoped it would. Encouraging last 10 minutes as we decided to actually get Man City going towards their own goal more but if we keep staying deep we'll eventually get punished.
