  1. Really? Barcelona have already confirmed their utter superiority over Real Madrid when it comes to playing them. Can't say he'll lose much sleep over going out to them in the cup. The damage was done last week. If he doesn't win the league though from this position, now that will hurt him.

Seems a waste of money if you ask me. Surely you need a striker/defender before thinking about someone like Hazard?

The Rock has come back to Sunderland?
  4. I didn't, and thank fuck for that. They actually lost in overtime. Safe to say; it was nice knowing you Espanyol... Fwiw, meant in 90 mins. Regardless, identical night to Sunday. Mar fucking seille deciding to draw 1-1 at home to Ligue 2 Le Havre.... and then win in extra time to really rub salt into the wound, letting down a 5 fold.
  5. Eliassen - for your own sake, I hope you took a rare bit of helpful advice from myself and covered yourself in the Espanyol game...
  6. Assume that means to go through in ET, not win the match?
  7. Whilst I'd like to congratulate you for what looks like a cracking bet (surely get some money on in play on Espanyol drawing to cover yourself?), I'm too pissed off for me to mean it.
  8. Yeah, my usual luck is back. Wrexham, unbeaten in 16 leagues games and won 7 in a row. Should have seen it coming. Even a draw would have got me money. They've just missed a penalty in the 95th minute.
  9. Wrexham can gay off. Oooh look at us, we've won loads in a row, knobs.

    Sunderland...

Not appalling enough. We'll have him.
  11. AFC Wimbledon Torquay Wrexham DNB Cardiff Juve (to qualify) HT: Torquay, Cardiff, Juve winning, Wrexham and Wimbledon drawing. Off out for a run, when I get back I expect to see my bet being a mere formality.

Is there a point to your continued existence on this forum?
  13. No. No. That can't actually be true.

That's how David "what a good manager he is" Moyes usually handles flair players. Doesn't work hard ==> don't play ==> show zero faith in the player ==> shock horror, they want to leave. Not excusing some of Bily's performances for us but he wasn't given much of a chance, and when he was, it was often because players were injured. Way to give the lad confidence. Getting Cerci from "La Viola" aren't you to replace him? No big loss IMO, he's been fairly shit. Reminded me of a shit Viana, no real position and the game here is too high tempo. Well, if strong-ish rumours are to be believed, yeah we are. Though I thought he was more of a forward? Can't sit here and say Bily delivered a string of fine performances for us but IMO the way he was dealt with is symbolic of Moyes' attitude towards players who have plenty of ability but don't work as hard as he wants. In the hard working/technical quality balance, his favouring of the former is criminal and is one of the reasons we're doing shit. Bily is endemic of that and its a consistent failing on DM's part.

    Arsene Wenger

I'm not saying Wenger should be sacked, but he should be open to criticism (just like any manager) for what many people believe to be questionable decisions. You can appreciate the tremendous work he's done for them while also seeing flaws in him becoming increasingly clear. His apparent reluctance to address blindingly obvious flaws in his team has been startling. They generated a massive amount of money through the Fabregas and Nasri sales; he used some of that money to get Gervinho and Arteta and settled for Mertesacker and already questionable, young players at the back. It's not like money wasn't there. Yesterday's future is today's present. I can see why "cretins" are justifiably getting pissed off with him. Injuries are just short-term excuses for a team who've failed time and time again in recent seasons because they have no backbone; no spine.

Good thing Willian's an attacking midfielder, then!
  19. Similar situation with a lad at work. Booked a flight for his son to come over for the game, it'd be the first time he's seen him in nearly a year. Suffice to say he is absolutely fucking fuming.
