  1. Took Liverpool until the 2nd game of the season for them to get a spawntastic amount of luck. Standard procedure.
  2. What a difference a win makes. Now there's talk of how we're going to come through this set of really tough opening fixtures in decent shape and push on after that. Few days ago we were apparently likely to finish bottom half. My stance on Martinez is clear - well impressed with him first season, at times horrified with him last time out. But his first season has given him the right to rectify last season. I've said for a while though I think we play better football away from home, and that's because we can use the counter attack much more effectively away. At home, the simple way to get something is sit deep, keep organised, and counter attack us. We're shit scared of anyone with pace who will run directly at us, and at home - e.g. last weekend - we're capable of producing some terrible, laboured performances, passing side to side without any purpose. As soon as the onus is on our opponents to do something however we look a different team and all of a sudden we play with pace on the attack and we're actually good to watch. So in short, if Martinez has the balls to lessen his emphasis on loads of possession, we could do something this year.
  3. Fuuuuuck. Still absolutely pissed off about choosing Hazard over my initial pick of Kompany. Could've been a 2nd win in a row on this offer. Guess beggars can't be choosers but a lesson: go with your gut. Well done anyone who cashed in this weekend. Saturday 3pm must be my least successful betting "slot" of the week. Give me Colombian 2nd division football and I'll give you a win. Give me teams I'm supposed to know quite a bit about and I'll show you a fool.
  4. Gutted. Chose between the "realistic" Hazard or the "ambitious" Kompany as in play AGS bets. Chose the wrong one of course.
  5. Southampton were total garbage. Taken aback by how lifeless they looked.
  6. Sitting back for no real reason here.
  7. When Barkley learns how to make better decisions, he'll be very good. He's getting there. Just need to keep him int hat position and let him play through his mistakes, and keep learning. The weight and timing on that pass was so great. Of course. Said since his very first game he's a special talent, I think he has a good attitude as well. A season or two's time and he can be one of the very best in the league. He's getting there. Just need to keep him int hat position and let him play through his mistakes, and keep learning. The weight and timing on that pass was so great.

  9. Funny that Barkley can scream one in from 25 yards but will pass it to the keeper from 12.
  10. Oh good, our new terrible kit.
  11. Honestly, I kept telling people we were shambolic and they wouldn't believe me. Then we were hysterically bad at SJP then people started appreciating quite how bad we were.
  12. He is, but Martinez appears obsessed with playing him left wing. Saw him at the Leeds game and he looked better there tbf, don't trust him defending. Why on earth we got rid of Garbutt, I have no idea.
  13. Baines out for 3 months. Good thing we didn't send our 2nd choice LB out on loan. ...who is also injured.
  14. Geet up. Won £600 from it in the CL final, more of the same please (well aware it'll be a long while before it happens again.)
  15. Late to the party... Aston Villa 0 v 1 Man Utd Southampton 2 v 1 Everton Spurs 1 v 1 Stoke Sunderland 1 v 0 Norwich Swansea 2 v 1 Newcastle Watford 2 v 1 West Brom West Ham 1 v 1 Leicester Crystal Palace 1 v 2 Arsenal Man City 1 v 0 Chelsea Liverpool 1 v 0 Bournemouth
  16. Good stuff Kaiz. Had a good first week of betting of the season, although Saturday afternoon again was a tale of close but no cigar. But about £250 profit from the last week, if anything like that keeps up I'll be happy. About to put a curse on myself but got a BTTS double in the Pubela and Cortulua games. For some reason North/South America is a very good hunting ground.
  17. Who's that 12 year old sat next to McLaren in the upstairs seat? Looks like he's on work experience.
  18. Taken about 3 years for the "Everton, hard to break down" garbage to finally be disproven. We are incredibly easy to score against. Not under Moyes you weren't. Garbage as usual. We were consistently susceptible to any sort of shot from 20 yards, a total lack of closing down. We are persistently easy to attack against, and indeed score against. No surprise a poor team had fun doing that.

  20. He's an absolute class player, desperately needs to work on his decision-making.
  21. Seriously, what was with Bournemouth being clear favourites? Absurd. And yeah, hope people took my advice on us.
