    Asian Cup 2011

What an irritating tournament to have.
  2. Done very little wrong here yet we're behind, annoying.
  3. Refers to his head, of course. Massive Bald Egg. 'eed.
  4. Careful - you'll get accused of being 'negative' next.........! Reality is something many find difficult to face... No. A sense of balance is something many appear to find difficult to grasp.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    He's a lesser Jenas, I'm afraid.

Absolutely not. There's one spot on our midfield that is (or should be) up for grabs, and that is LW, and I can't see Gosling taking it. He is still only 20 years old though, and we haven't signed him for this season. which two players are certs for centre mid ? Nolan and Tiote. nolan a cert . i'd like to think not. At the moment? He's a dead cert.

There's no comparison, really. different sorts of player though from what i've seen. rodwell is more expansive, gosling is more like a jenas with a bit more heart. Different players, aye. But Gosling is nowhere near Rodwell on the ladder to decent Premiership quality (a ladder I expect Rodwell to climb a fair bit in the next few years). i'd actually like to have both together as they could well compliment each others styles. The issue is: Gosling doesn't have a style, Gosling doesn't have a position. He's not an awful player by any means but I see little in him to suggest he'll become a good Premiership player, or be able to perform an influential role in a decent Premiership side. He'll 'work hard', and do his best to get into good positions - which I'd like to think are basic necessities for basically any player.

Yep. is that a good shock ? Well, I lied, it's not really a shock. Just a recognition of, wow, he's average.

    I'd personally say Hughton out.
  14. Seriously, man. By a million miles the worst Liverpool form/team I've seen in my lifetime. And this is with Gerrard and Torres. .......hahahahahaha.

Just seen this thread title. Wow. What a fucking unreal piece of business this would be, hope it comes through.
  16. that my friend is what football is all about. not the winning or glory, it's the taking the piss. If I don't laugh I'll cry and all that. It was real head in hands stuff today - not so much that it was the biggest game of the year or anything, it was just a series of facepalm moments.
  17. I tell you what, although our game was generally pretty shite, there were some entertaining moments. a) Hibbert's impressive finish for their goal b) Howard trying to shepherd a ball out for a goal kick in the most incompetent fashion ever c) Howard storming out of his area and taking out their striker in the 94th minute d) Yakubu. Just, Yakubu. Actually, in particular: lining up in the wall for the free kick coming from c), telling someone to turn around, and then running away himself.
