  1. I'm in a dangerous "well I've got a bit of money in bet365, why not bet?" mood.
  2. Yakubu is certainly a good player to have, but I wouldn't ever want to rely on him as the number 1 striker. Too inconsistent for my liking. Saha might as well be dead and I've not seen enough of Beckford to write him off, but fuck it, he's shit. If you had that 1 consistent striker, I'd be a lot more confident that Everton could achieve something. God knows who you'd ever be able to get though, can't think of any cheap options, but tbh, cheap options and European qualification aren't really that compatible. I'm hopeful. If Marcus Bent can lead you to 4th, anything is possible.
  3. Yep. Ultimately I guess it's whether the player really wants to make something of the next few years or just descend into shitness.
  4. Fwiw, I hold hope for Yakubu, SEMTEX. He's done alright in his last 2 appearances and shown signs of a bit of fight about him.
  5. Injuries. We have a fit squad this time around instead of every other player slipping over banana skins and knacking themselves like we had last season. We'll come good but it's ridiculously frustrating to start like we have, yet again. We should have beat Villa and Wolves but yesterday we were awful and deservedly got beat. Yeah I suppose injuries have been a bit of a bitch to you, but you've not strengthened to cover for any potential injuries this season have you? So if a few players pick up knocks, what's the difference from last season? It'd help if you had someone who could score goals and not be massively injury prone / fat. If the transfer budget was anymore than 37p and 2 packs of McCoys, I think Moyes would have gone and got a pretty good striker. As it is, we got 2 unknowns and Jermaine Beckford.

  7. It's not Cahill, it's Arteta. Stop him and you limit what we can do considerably.
  8. Maybe the difference between the two teams isn't as big as some think. It is. And we failed miserably. Have a word! not knocking too much but Everton's success has been hard work and organisation but your not that good. Again I'm not attacking Everton (despite what it sounds) but the Premiership is not as good as it thinks it is. I think there is a not massive but fairly sizeable gap, that's my honest opinion. But yesterday we were atrocious, you played well and deserved the win, as I've already said in this thread.

  10. Just an off day. Can't believe your fans are doing their nuts again. Thought they'd have learnt by now. Moyes has been brililant for yous. Course they've been doing their nuts. We lost at home against a side we should be putting to the sword. He's been ace but today was a truly abysmal day.
  11. some guy on the everton board thinks he's "not ready" to get into the everton side. In fairness, it'll take more than a wonder goal to convince me he'll be a success in this league.
  12. I was shocked at how poor you were in midfield. You gave it away so often. That's the thing. I could emphasise how awful we were until the cows come home but that would be disrespectful to how you played. It was a bit of a shit game at times but if anything, you deserved the win.
  13. We were fucking atrocious, and you played well. Hit the post, should have scored in the last minute blah blah blah. No complaints.
  14. Even more unlikely since you put Stephen Carr up front.
  15. As I say Baba, that's not my personal lineup but that's what I think we'll get. Yakubu can't last 90 minutes but actually I'd start him today. Quality wise yes, Bily is clearly better than Osman but for some reason Moyes seems reluctant to play him.
  16. You could be playing the bottom side come 3pm.
  17. Signed from Ipswich. Looks a good player and is making the step up well so far.
  18. Slept with Moyes' wife. For legal reasons, I should point out he didn't sleep with Moyes' wife. Well he might have. Who knows?
  19. Should have seen that one coming but I still laughed.
  20. Did they have some sort of montage regarding it? *dramatic music* THIS, IS, YOM KIPPUR!
