  1. Trainers it is. Admittedly, that could cause all sorts of comical embarrassment if the rain doesn't ease off.

    Dan Gosling

Wahey! Really though you should be pissed off at your admin and people behind the scenes, not Gosling. It's a clanger of epic proportions, something Newcastle-esque, and really you ought to be concentrating why your club lost you £3-5m not take it out on Gosling. I've already said it was incompetency from the club, but you expect a bit more from a player who gave every assurance he'd sign (it's not like this is the first time we've used a verbal contract nor do I reckon it's rare in football) and was being helped out massively by the club regarding his injury. As I've already said, I reckon his agent turned his head.

The comment mentioned by TT made me cringe, I won't lie.

I was playing on the generalisation of 'bitter' given, particularly when there is in fact a lack of bitterness in the 3 mini-articles thus far, and some quite accurate assessments.

Tomorrow in corny Everton bingo: Moyes really does get the best out of his players, doesn't he?

Tell him that Gosling and U-turned and signed for 5 years at Goodison then ask him again. Then he still wouldn't be able to beat a man. Average, basically. More regular football though can only be a good thing for him so from a footballing perspective it's a good move for him and in that sense I wish him the best of luck. On one hand you can laugh about the pretty incompetent nature from the club of relying on "his word" to sign the contract, but on the other many a fan will be pretty pissed off with someone who gave every indication he would be committed to signing it, and turning his back so readily on the club who gave him his break at a high level and gave so much time and effort to help with this serious injury. Stinks of agent persuasion. clubs fault no doubt, why would he trust the club again when they haven't give him a contract when they said he would! It is primarily the club's fault indeed, you can't conduct business based on verbal contracts. But as I say, he'll leave with a bad taste in peoples' mouths.

    Sunderland...

Steve Bruce teams are always the same- probably start the season well, then go on a nightmare run where they dont win between November and March and then finish relatively strongly. Most predictable manager around. 11. sorry dude, getting hot under the collar. when idiots make idiots comments i need to defend them. if we were talkig football, i would be the first to admit that the group stages were cagey, and that things took after that. I would be happy to have a football converstation. but for some idiot to say the atmosphere etc was shit gets me angry apologies for the tone, i wont bring it up again, you guys can carry on slagging us off Phew, that's a relief. It's been poor. Edit: though it has improved since the group stages.
