  1. Don't worry: Patrick's waiting in the wings.
  2. Rooney gambles to the near post which led to Giggs tapping in, but there when Tevez pulls it back, no-one but a Man Utd defender.
  3. Whoever said 12 people would be wearing gloves seems to have made a hugely optimistic prediction.
  4. This move wold be so bizarre. He's too shit for Liverpool if they are even trying to finish top 4 this season, and Sunderland really can't afford to lose him. Wouldn't say they can't afford to lose him - IMO he really isn't a particularly great player. A few good performances when he can be arsed, but otherwise, poor. Getting rid of him in January seems strange though. Replacement lined up?
  5. What standard is that at the moment?
  6. Source: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/liverpool/8465290.stm Seems more just general talk about it rather than anything definite happening. By all accounts, Sunderland don't want to get rid of him so it's a thoroughly confusing story.
  7. About a loan? Or have they raised £10m from phoning Ocean Finance? I couldn't understand all the rumours about a loan... how is that in Sunderlands interests whatsoever? A loan, I'd assume. Talk of a swap with Babel. Mackem friend was just telling me they are in talks, that's all that's known. And as far as I can see, it isn't. Unless he's hugely unhappy up there.
  8. Jones in talks with Liverpool, apparently. Bamboozling.
  9. So, is the original suggestion of 20th Feb not workable either?
  10. Atrocious refereeing to give the 2 yellow cards to WBA so far.
  11. As much as it's been very entertaining to watch, the very much non-PL standard of defending has been pivotal to creating that.
  12. There's not a great deal of defending to speak of. Example K.
  13. Thought it had gone through the wall but nope, superb technique. Great game for the neutrals atm.
  14. Wow. Does Smith realise he's supposed to give the defenders an option?
  15. Reminds me of Carroll actually, wins a good amount of headers but doesn't control them well enough and isn't too much of a goal threat. Always get the impression the media see him as a spearhead of Sunderland's offensive play. Avid Mackem friend of mine reckons he's been utterly wank, barring 3 or 4 games this year. IMO, on his day, a massive trouble for defenders. Just, for whatever reasons, he doesn't have many 'days'.
  16. What I would say about the Saha incident is though: how idiotic did Richards want to be? Shouldn't have made the ref make a decision; abominable defending.
  17. Rarely watch NFL, yet always watch the Superbowl.
