  1. Not watching it but I doubt it. This is the same Gray who said they'd had the better of the first half at Portsmouth despite Pompey being the better team, and Liverpool registering a total of 0 shots on target.
  2. Is it a season-long loan you have him? Would be good to see chants of support for him on Monday, regardless of whether he plays. Would re-affirm the time the SJP faithful have for him, let alone the support for him in this difficult time. Thoughts go to him and his family.
  3. The whole thing is completely bizarre. Have you heard the stories about Saha being available too? I still don't understand why you're not stronger, financially I mean. The long and the short of it is that Kenwright doesn't have the money, and he's painfully said this time and again. It is depressing seeing sides like Villa, City and Spurs, teams we realistically are (ok, not right at the moment) competing with, get ahead of us by simply having more money. I've heard of rumours, and I prey it is just that. Truthfully, I think he'll stay. It's not just that Kenwright doesn't have massive personal wealth though, that's a bit of a cop out. It's more to do with the piss poor way he runs the club from a business point of view. Our debt has spiralled under Kenwright despite zero investment in the team or stadium. Oh aye, can't get away from that. He's one of those, comes across as nice and friendly in the interviews but really, has plenty of flaws. Big ones.

  5. Bloody hell - seemingly let Neill go out of sentiment. "A good opportunity for the lad came up..." Fuck off David, he was contracted to us and should have been damn glad he got an opportunity at a good Premier League club. He's getting games and indeed was fitting in well with Heitinga. 750k is nothing in today's game and he's one of 2 available central (at the moment) defenders currently. Absolutely ridiculous.
  6. I want to get on Stoke (3/1? 7/2?) but I have a feeling Liverpool will grind out something.
  7. how come? I think they are lucky at the moment to be in the position they are, they have one of the weakest sides i can remember them having and i think Arsenal will be consistent until the end of the season and finish 2nd. IMO, Man Utd will come strong in the 2nd half of the season. Consistency isn't a thing I associate with Arsenal - it will be interesting to see how you do in some tough away games. Also, can you play badly and win? Granted, I've rarely seen United look so shaky.
  8. Agreed, but since when have Madrid, at least in recent times, really thought about where players actually fit into the team? He'd just be another status signing, albeit extremely talented.
  9. Let me carefully articulate my thoughts: Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  10. McNulty: "If Liverpool have become more adept at anything in this desperate season, it is in their uncanny ability to discover new depths to plumb."
  11. In training I think, but I doubt he'll be on a footall field for at least another month. Even then, he'll need a fair bit of match practice. Same situation for Arteta.
  12. Fwiw, Heitinga has performed competently at centre-back recently.
  13. I wouldn't trust Turkish clubs when they say they've signed full-backs. But if true, it appears nothing more than shambolic. Let's get rid of one of 2 fit (currently) central defenders. 750k is nowt, just let him go in the summer ffs. And believe it or not, he's done fairly well recently. Staggering.

    Kevin Kuranyi

He was going to Sunderland a week ago, like, definitely and stuff.

The correct answer was "aye alright then", Jonathan.
  16. This reporter just slating Rafa.
  17. Surely those who said there was no point in you attempting to get anywhere in the FA Cup have had a re-think? Shocks happen.
  18. For once, fair play to ITV: "richly deserved victory". No getting away from it. Right oh everyone, what will Rafa blame this time?
  19. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Jonny, fetch your headband.
  20. They've been unlucky this season? Shit, more like.
  21. Extra-time is the very least Reading deserve.
  22. I speak deadly seriously when I say he is no better than Tony Hibbert. Solid in the tackle, hopeless going forward, and clumsy.
