  1. Tom, please don't tell me you were stupid enough to back City?
  2. And again, 2 bar hits in 5 minutes.
  3. Got good odds on that? 3-2 works for me. Won a small amount earlier so fancied sticking a quid on it. 28/1.
  4. VI - do me a favour and win 3-2 tonight.
  5. Fucking hell ref, play the advantage.
  6. Hour mark and SWP is on for Robinho, I expect the former to do twice as much in 30 minutes as the latter did in 60.
  7. It'll just get taken out of your accumulator, thus creating a 4-fold.
  8. That 2nd goal could prove pivotal. We had much the better of the games vs Brum, Sunderland and Arsenal recently, but drew all 3.
  9. Early days yet but he is giving every indication he can more than cut it in this league. Hope he keeps it up, LA Galaxy wouldn't consider a permanent move, would they?
  10. HT couldn't come soon enough for City. We've been in this position all too often recently, had much the better of the game (granted, good start by them today) but not gone on to win.
  11. £5 returned £17 plus the stake off Swindon, Huddersfield and Chesterfield. Nope, didn't post beforehand, but you can have a look at my procession of previously losing bets for your own amusement. Stuck a daft quid on Barca to win 3-2 tonight @ 28/1.
  12. Last time I bet against Gillingham away, they decided to get their 2nd point in 11 away games. Dare I risk it again today? Swindon have usually been canny for me.
  13. Please do. Don't leave me here on my own.
  14. According to Overlord Gray, you can count the mistakes he's made in his career on 2 hands.
  15. Because their long-suffering fans are really knowledgeable about football. Remember, there is officially nothing better than a European night in front of the Kop.
  16. Any eagle-eared viewers hear Willie Thorne in the snooker? Williams had a difficult job of getting to the red on the cushion, and back down to the black - apparently the bookies gave temporary odds of 100/1 for him to do it. He duly did. This is why I ought to get an online betting account so I can bet in play...
  17. Not watching it but I doubt it. This is the same Gray who said they'd had the better of the first half at Portsmouth despite Pompey being the better team, and Liverpool registering a total of 0 shots on target.
  18. Is it a season-long loan you have him? Would be good to see chants of support for him on Monday, regardless of whether he plays. Would re-affirm the time the SJP faithful have for him, let alone the support for him in this difficult time. Thoughts go to him and his family.
  19. The whole thing is completely bizarre. Have you heard the stories about Saha being available too? I still don't understand why you're not stronger, financially I mean. The long and the short of it is that Kenwright doesn't have the money, and he's painfully said this time and again. It is depressing seeing sides like Villa, City and Spurs, teams we realistically are (ok, not right at the moment) competing with, get ahead of us by simply having more money. I've heard of rumours, and I prey it is just that. Truthfully, I think he'll stay. It's not just that Kenwright doesn't have massive personal wealth though, that's a bit of a cop out. It's more to do with the piss poor way he runs the club from a business point of view. Our debt has spiralled under Kenwright despite zero investment in the team or stadium. Oh aye, can't get away from that. He's one of those, comes across as nice and friendly in the interviews but really, has plenty of flaws. Big ones.

  21. Bloody hell - seemingly let Neill go out of sentiment. "A good opportunity for the lad came up..." Fuck off David, he was contracted to us and should have been damn glad he got an opportunity at a good Premier League club. He's getting games and indeed was fitting in well with Heitinga. 750k is nothing in today's game and he's one of 2 available central (at the moment) defenders currently. Absolutely ridiculous.
