Gerrard was abysmal, one moment of quality aside. He was a total passenger for most of the game, but Liverpool fans will refuse to believe that. Lost count of the times he lost the ball.
Moaned on to anyone who would listen that I was pissed we had to play Leicester away on the first day. The ONE day you don't want to play a newly promoted side. Knew that give it 2-3 months we'd piss all over them as they'd have gone off the boil. Albeit that said we're arguably worse now.
I think you'll go through fwiw. Can see it being relatively comfortable actually.
Also, never seen a team get such consistently easy ties as Chelsea. Seemingly every single year, lower league team at home. Like clockwork.
Garbage from us tonight. Could be in for a royal bumming at the Etihad. Often when I think we'll get thrashed though we pull out a performance. Either way we're going to need to improve massively if we have any chance of getting near the top 5/6, let alone top 4. More performances like tonight and it's Europa League or bust for us.
Which is why he's a bit of a popular player, at least with people I know. Fully committed, capable of some excellent passing, but equally you don't know what he's going to do and is liable of trying to nutmeg players in his own box and losing it.
Shame. They've been awful the 3 times i've seen them in recent months. Some how managed to win two of those matches. Finally turned up today.
I must say I'm slightly perturbed they chose today to finally turn up, thought we'd win comfortably after going ahead.
Unfortunately so did our players, clearly. Gave them a load of encouragement.
