There are a lot of things to dislike about Pardew's management style but I thought he didn't get too much wrong today, we were the better side for decent periods in the match.

Newcastle United 0 - 3 sunderland - Post-match reaction from p58
The Prophet replied to Nobody's topic in Football
Awful result, we've played worse this season and won mind. We started brightly enough and looked as if we'd get in behind early on. They grew in confidence as the half went on making up for a lack of quality with desire and application culminating in them scoring and finishing the half on top albeit a bit of a flurry shortly after the goal. Second half we tried to raise the tempo but we lacked the cutting edge before wrongly being denied by the linesmans flag. We tired as the half went on and eventually got picked off. All three goals while good finishes were awful defending, we backed off inviting the shot everytime. Jonas and Taylor were woeful, Yanga-Mbiwa not much better. I'm unsure what those who thought they were the better side were watching. We forced Mignolet into some cracking stops and wrongly had a goal chalked off. It was a fairly even affair. Fair play to them for the desire they showed. -

Has all the makings of a bore draw. -
Was getting some ridiculous criticism on Sunday. Apart from the incident where he was beasted by Diame he was decent, far better than Cabaye was anyway.

I have no doubt we'd of won that game with our first choice back five. We didn't play that badly, but the defence seemed to fall apart as soon as Taylor left the pitch. -

We'd of won that 0-2 last season, I guess having three of your first choice back four out will do that. -
Deliciously cynical.

Gervinho's having a mare.

Arsenal look like they have a spine this season, far more gritty.

Harper 8: I'm a critic but he played well today. Dealt with pretty much everything required. Perch 8: Love this lad like, so committed whereever he plays. Williamson 7: One of his better games of late. Dominant performance. Taylor 6: Solid for the most part but his positioning is woeful at times. Santon 7: Decent. Jonas 7: One of our better players on the ball, got stuck in as well. Anita 6: Personally thought he got a bit lost in the midfield battle, certainly better offensively than defensively. Cabaye 7: Much better from him today, played some really classy football. Ben Arfa 8: Dreamy. Ba 7: Looked sharp. Cisse: 5 Played alright but fell to bits in the final third. Looking back individually the players did alright, it was the overall team performance that looked disjointed. -

Get out. If you are pleased with his performance this season, then you need to get out. Eh? Not pleased with his current level of performance = We know he can play much better = He's not as good as we thought? Outstanding logic. -

Suarez is such a cunt it isn't even funny.
-
Newcastle Spurs City Also tempted to lay Milan, they're away to Udinese.

Vidal has to be one of the most underrated players around, absolute class act.

Anita was far from unmarked, like. He was being closed down before Perch even played the ball. Was it not Marveaux who played said ball to Perch? Still the weighted ball over the top to Cisse man, class.

Also worthy of note: that beautifully weighted ball to Cisse lofted over the top of the Everton defense from Perchinho.
