He's not that bad man. That's exactly what he does though, he stands off his man and invites the cross, we've all seen it. He does, but not nearly as much as people like make out he does. He's done it just about every time he's been faced with a winger and a ball man. Does he bollocks, I think you'd find our defensive record would be much worse if he did.

Woeful player, cretin of a human being, get rid.

I'd disagree with that. Stoke aren't a game that dictate play, hence their crappy possession stats. They're a very direct, very physical side who rely on their wide men, set pieces and throw-ins to create as much pressure around the opposition eighteen yard box as possible. While Tiote will always be a big absence I wouldn't say this is the one game I wouldn't want him to miss. If anything the fitness of Taylor was more key than anything else.

The links to 'bigger clubs' were inevitable given his quality. He's one of the very best in the league at what he does especially given he's now back to his best, that's why it's so imperative we keep hold of him. He'a arguably our most important player, protecting the defence and giving us a base on which we can launch our own attacks. Last season he had the strike of being suspended far too much, a year on he seems to have cut back on the bookings, sides will begin to show more interest. We have to hope his lengthy contract and a ridiculous asking price put suitors off, I can't see it though.

Spurs are great to watch going forward, but their defence looks shakey to say the very least

Why is a player always shit or class? There's no grey area these days. Luiz is by no means the finished article but he's hardly shite. I remember him having a few decent games, in particular one against the Mancs springs to mind.

Eh? 'I'm giving the man of the match to Scott Parker, because there's been so much quality on the park and he's just dug in.'

Well played. If you listen carefully you can hear the sound of VDV and Van Persie being furiously forced into fantasy football teams across the country.
