Whatever we do it's going to be a square peg in a round hole but I'd rather see: Steven Taylor A road cone James Perch A bag of AIDS Ryan Taylor -
You'd think they'd be prepeared for this sort of shit, imbeciles

Ryan Taylor at left back -
Why did Cabaye join? What can we offer that Lille can't? We have to be optimistic sometime
-
Fair play, I'll happily admit I no next to nothing about the lad.
-
Could we be signing him for left back and centre back cover with Cissoko coming in as first choice?
-
Pardew's remit is to reduce costs. That's it. Source?

Can see us sticking Steven Taylor at left back -
Great potential? To do what exactly, to become an average Championship striker perhaps? To become a decent Premier League striker. So when has he shown this potential? Scoring goals for the reserves in plentyful (I know, but he has the ability), scoring 1 in 2 in average (12 games, 6 goals) for England under 19, and some very promising matches from the bench, especially the one against Liverpool. He has the ability. Now he needs to get his head together, grow up and gain some confidence. Confidence on the pitch that is. The reserves He's had some decent cameos against tired legs, but he's shown little natural footballing ability and a willingnes to improve

Pardew said today only one more outgoing. Probably another forward, no doubt Ranger or Lovenkrands

In fairness it's not like he's had niggly little injuries, he's just been unfortunate enough to be on the end of two horror challanges.

Posted this a while back but saves me responding to the above.

He's no where near as bad as some are making out, despite rarely having a decent run of games he's got a decent record. Yes, he's not always the most graceful but he knows where the back of the net is unlike some of our current lot.
-
I'd have him here in a flash.

Not having a go, but why is that? Personally I agree with you, I don't like a full back being too defensive ala Pieters
