He's rediscovering some of his best form.
-
Fully deserved, Villa have been bobbins

Villa carry a decent amount of luck don't they?

The Europeometerâ„¢ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Champions League
The Prophet replied to Rich's topic in Football
That's the best word to describe them. Awkward. Defensively sound, a big physical unit, well drilled from set pieces and fast tricky forwards. -
He doesn't look fully fit to me. He hasn't for a few weeks.

Hate our annual trip to the Amex, but it's the first time in a while we head up towards the end of the season with them struggling with a few injuries and suspensions. They're not in the best of form, shipping plenty of goals. I wouldn't be upset with a point, but it's a great opportunity to come away with all three points for a change.

Seems Gruda has changed the game for them.

See, terrible form.
-
Brighton are quietly in absolutely terrible form.
-
Would rather just win the game first and foremost.

The officials are having a shocker.
-
Chelsea have been pretty poor second half.

There isn't fifteen teams with nothing to play for. 8th will more than likely be a EC spot, which would be quite a big deal for the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Fulham. It also doesn't follow that a team with nothing to play for will just down tools for the end of the season, granted a few might. Looking at fixtures and General consistency, I'd be amazed if all five teams pick up maximum points for the rest of the season (perhaps bar City). It's why they're fighting for 5th and not the title. Although I take the point that now 5th means more, the points tally might nudge up over the years.

I'm pretty sure people say this every year.

It was more a comment on the way Everton are playing than what teams have to play for.
-
I doubt Liverpool will be as passive though. To be fair, Chelsea do look a bit better with Lavia back in the side.
-
How very "on the beach" from Everton.

Newcastle United vs. Ipswich Town: 26/04/25 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

What we thinking tomorrow? Botman in for Schar, Gordon in for Barnes? -
DCL is a decent target man. Holds the ball up well and he's great in the air, but he's absolute bobbins in front of goal. Watched a game earlier this season where he fluffed a hattrick of one v ones. Could be a confidence issue of course.

Hard to put an order on it, they're all pretty essential with European football guaranteed.

PIF should be asking some very, VERY serious questions of Paul Mitchell.
