  1. Surely if we stay at SJP they'll completely gut and modernise it.
  2. Don't think it's particularly fishy. PIF want the domestic league to be a serious player. Providing its clubs with the cash to buy players who legitimise it is the game here.
  3. I haven't seen the SJP expansion plans, I've read they're ambitious, but I've decided it would be a waste of money.
  4. ...or they want to strengthen both their own domestic league and our club.
  5. Hope: Newcastle are very unlikely to do any transfer business before Monday night’s deadline, beyond the £10million sale of Miguel Almiron to Atlanta United. There continues to be talk of possible exits for the likes of Matt Targett, Lloyd Kelly and Kieran Trippier. But we understand that after Almiron’s move was confirmed on Thursday, no more departures are expected. As it stands, there are no other viable offers on the table for any of Newcastle’s players."
  6. Hope: "LONG GAME FOR SEAN Sean Longstaff is set to rebuff Premier League interest and fight for his place at Newcastle. Confidential revealed in December that the club would listen to offers for the midfielder after exercising the option to extend his contract to 2026. That protected the value of a player who could have left for free this summer. Everton have a longstanding interest and there has been talk of an approach before Monday’s transfer deadline. However, Confidential understands Longstaff has told Newcastle chiefs he wants to stay at his hometown club."
  7. Henry Winter: "Sad to see such a talent as Jhon Duran giving up the Champions League for the Saudi Pro League. He’s a good finisher – fine goals against Bayern Munich, Palace, Liverpool, Manchester City, West Ham, Everton, amongst others. It’s his career, his choice so good luck to Duran at Al-Nassr. The money will be fabulous. The football less so. And now’s the wrong time to leave Aston Villa. Villa Park is buzzing, the team going places under Unai Emery, progressing in Europe, good squad and camaraderie. He does get games (29 games and 12 goals this season) even if Ollie Watkins is first choice. He’s 21, Watkins 30 later this year. Inevitably a PSR element and Villa received an offer - £65m+ - they couldn’t refuse. Good business by Villa plus it ends the drama occasionally attached to Duran. But it’s still a shame. He gets to play with Ronaldo at Al Nassr, average gate 16,453 (the Holte End alone is 13,000+). A coup for the Saudi Pro League and Duran’s bank manager. A sad moment for his career development. He will have some big games – with Colombia."
  8. That makes more sense.
  9. Isn't he out of contract at the end of he season? Can't see anyone paying £7 million for him, unless they're gagging for left back cover.
  10. Wilson isn't remotely reliable like. Pretty sure he has the same sources as Bailey and Nixon.
  11. I think it means one of 21 or 22 will play one of 11 or 12.
  12. Seems about right for Duran tbh.
  13. Real Madrid not conceding did for me. Fuck VAR.
  14. City progress after beating Slovan Bratislava, Sparta Prague and Club Brugge.
  15. Seems Villa need to make a sacrifice to please the PSR Gods.
  16. Smith-Rowe for around £30 million. Nketiah for around £30 million. Ramsdale for around £20 million. Balogun for around £30 million.
  17. I've never understood the Felix hype, but he might just need the right coach.
