I think another issue is that the Championship are not producing the strikers they have previously and therefore clubs like Wolves and Brentford can't look there anymore to replace their star players In the past there's been a decent amount of strikers in the lower leagues that may be able to make the step up. I'm struggling to think of any that are viable for those clubs at the moment. The likes of Josh Sargent and Adam Armstrong aren't going to provide the goals needed for mid to lower Prem clubs It means they have to go abroad which can bring about it's own risks but also opens up bigger foreign or domestic clubs to take their targets
