Feels like Neville is being unfair on the Leicester keeper saying it should have been a comfortable save for the goal? Was blasted at power through bodies
-
If you take out his hat trick against Wolves he's only got 4 goals and 3 assists in the league this season. Don't think that's great numbers
-
The deadline's passed hasn't it?
-
Some honking TV picks this weekend
-
Was meant to put it in the other games thread rather than here but I guess it fits in both
-
Madueke had a decent run of form at the start of the season (mainly the hat trick against Wolves) but I don't feel he's done much for a number of months now. May have dodged a bullet

Saka getting booed every touch for having the audacity to be on the end of an achilles raking tackle

Leif Davis misses our game then

Callum Wilson: offered 'incentive-based' contract extension (Ornstein)
joeyt replied to Strawberry's topic in Football
Only thing I can think is because he's part of the 'leadership group' and he may kick up a fuss if Osula starts getting his minutes Seems the coaching setup are a bit blinded by loyalty with Wilson -
I guess he could have calmed them down a bit but I'm not sure he'd have made much difference. It's not like we played any different to how we would have if Howe was there and he can't magically produce a better subs bench than we had yesterday. Just think we can say we were beaten by the better team
-
What do you think Howe would have done differently out of interest?
-
Would happily just take any sort of win against Ipswich
-
A Delap red tomorrow would be canny

Thought Bruno was lucky not to be booked before he eventually did get a yellow

When in the last 3 games should we have rotated? Who would you have played instead of who? I thought we looked tired in the second half but I'm struggling to think of how we could have done much more in the last few games. They're all must win games, we can't just drop our poor subs like Longstaff into games like this one or Palace or Man Utd We took our best players off in the previous 3 games when the games been won
-
When should we have rotated then? We've been taking off our best players when we've won the game in all previous matches. And it nearly came to hurt us against Forest You're delusional if you think you can just drop Longstaff into the team at the moment and it not to disrupt the patterns of play which have won us 6 games in a row
-
You keep saying we should have rotated and rested players but you don't seem to appreciate that the players on the bench are either shite or completely out of form We can't put players like Digne, Onana, Rashford and Ramsay on the bench. It's easy to say "oh we should have rotated" after a loss but there was no mention of that before the game and you're completely overrating the players we do have on our bench
-
What?
-
I thought Isak looked tired, would anyone have played Wilson, Osula or Gordon instead of him?
-
When was the last time Longstaff played well? You've stated that Longstaff could have started today - you can't tell me if one of Bruno, Tonali or Joelinton were on the bench for Longstaff before the game that you and everyone else would have been happy. Throwing in 3 or 4 completely out of form players against Villa away seems completely ridiculous to me I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. We should have rotated but the only options you're giving me are players who have been poor for a number of games
-
They didn't play their usual comedy high line sadly so looks like Emery has learnt from our previous games against them
-
I'm not being smug - you've been on here long enough to know if we put a teamsheet out with Willock, Miley, Longstaff, Krafth, Osula on it then it would have been criticised. There were no suggestions to play Longstaff before the game- you know we've played the same team for 6 or 7 games in a row now, how can you have no idea about us potentially being knackered as if it was common sense that we should have rotated? Anyone suggesting we should have played Longstaff today is completely out of their mind

They sold their second choice striker for £70mil
