How good is this Samassa, Baba? Just reading Wigan, Blackburn & Stoke are after him on a free, something we could hijack?

Chopra is no where near as good as Lovenkrands. Chopra even struggles in The Champonship. He's got nowt about him at all. His goals depend on how the team is performing, if the team are making chances against shit opposition he will of course get goals. He has nothing to offer other than being an overly average body in the box to try and turn a ball goalwards, and he's very inconsistent in doing that!

Seriously though, what would happen if half of the side was world class (on one half of the pitch) and the other half was gash? Half Krul Half Karelse? -

For the last 2 seasons Bramble has proven himself to be a solid Premier League defender. Playing for Wigan with no expectations or boo boys on his back. I hate to say it, but I honestly think we, the fans, made Titus Bramble shit with the constant booing and groaning as soon as he put a foot wrong. Can't imagine that'd have done much for his confidence. No, he was just a fucking plank.

Simpson and Perch at CB in the prem doesn't bear thinking about. Williamson, I also have reservations about. I think Williamson will be better than the likes of Bramble, Nelson, O'Brien etc. At least it looks as though he has a brain and can think his way out of situations. If Perch is a good right back and has some decent defensive capabilities our back 4 should be able to defend well together as a unit. For that we need Routledge and Jonas to help out defensively though. If Williamson was better than Bramble and Nelson, he wouldn't have signed for a Championship club for peanuts in January. I think you know better than that Ronaldo.

The more I think about the gash in the Premier League the more hopeful I am. Sure, we're likely to be bummed off most of the top six or seven clubs but we only have to be above West Brom, Blackpool (both of whom we conclusively proved last year we are better than) and one other from the likes of Wigan, Wolves and so on. That's only to ensure survival of course but it's hardly a long shot. Agree. I'm definitely more hopeful than I could have been. At least there's a good potential for more transfers and more bodies can only help so long as they all fit in. We all know Hughtons not a tactical genius but he does seem to be able to manage a group of players and get performances from them. -
Perch will be the back-up for Enrique assuming we get another centre half in (Sol?). The centre midfielder will be Gosling, which leaves a forward as a definite priority, whereas I think we'll get a winger in if it becomes a necessity (i.e. an injury). Vuckic may well end up us as our back-up left winger and we'll doubtless shove one of Guthrie/Barton/Gosling out onto the wing if necessary. I hope not, from what Ive seen he's already our strongest and most composed central player. Don't see his attributes as a player running down the wing and taking people on

Its a great idea in terms of defending, but when you think that our best positions are down the wings and with Carroll in the middle for crosses, it'll work equally both before and against us. Unless we get a CM and CF that can play football on the ground and move the ball and work with the ball in tighter spaces down the middle, It'll cut off some of our goal threat as well -
I do hope this isn't true

Just seen 'The Capello Index' for the WC. The team of the tournament lloks good. not convinced with the England ratings mind -
Great to see Essien back! One of my favourite players. Great technically, very strong, very clever and a great attitude. Too good for Chelski really.
