Hilarious ratings, starting to think you're a complete and utter WUM. Did you consider that I watched the game detached from the comically negative atmosphere on this board? Most level headed football fans would say that all of our players played well today. Not one had a bad game.

Easily pleased. Already knew your hyper-critical opinion.

I can't criticize the way Pardew set our team out today, other than a 5 minute spell in the first half where we resorted to long balls. We have limited footballers who shackle our ability to play a pressing passing game the way the top 6 do. Pardew is getting the best out of this squad in terms of league position.

Perch isn't positionally or physically strong enough to play CB.
-
Tidy win. Lots of little positives.
-
Well we are playing nowhere near the level our 11 players can perform at. Sort it out Pardew.

Not surprised to see people underrating Norwich's players here.

Did he get a yellow card?

Cabaye is not out of form.

Rubbish marking from Ward on Evans.

Fabrice Muamba Update Sunday 18 March, 2012 Fabrice Muamba remains in a critical condition in intensive care in the Heart Attack Centre at The London Chest Hospital. Fabrice was admitted to the hospital yesterday evening after collapsing at White Hart Lane, where he sustained a cardiac arrest during the FA Cup quarter-final against Tottenham Hotspur. Fabrice received prolonged resuscitation at the ground and on route to The London Chest Hospital, where his heart eventually started working. As is normal medical practice, Fabrice remains anaesthetised in intensive care and will be for at least 24 hours. His condition continues to be closely monitored by the cardiac specialists at the hospital. Bolton Wanderers Manager Owen Coyle said: "Fabrice's family have asked me to pass on their thanks for the many, many kind messages of support from not only Bolton fans but also fans from clubs across the country and abroad. "All our thoughts and prayers are for Fabrice and his family. The family would also like to thank the media for respecting their privacy at this time." No further updates are planned at this time.

ESPN need to stop this.

Guardian has Shane at LB and Santon at RB. Exciting.

How did it compare to other defences in the league?
-
The weak defence in the 1990s thing is a total myth, isn't it?
-
Also, jesus christ. Very depressing view and I wholeheartedly disagree with it. This is the kind of defeatist attitude that gives us 2-2 draws at home vs wolves. Should have said in most games. We do have a squad capable of pressing teams like Wolves - who are relegation fodder. Even then, we still have to ensure that we counter any of their threats.
-
So what are you suggesting, we take a less defensive approach, which will further expose their deficiencies? Just go for lots of goals in the hope that we somehow manage to score more than we concede? We certainly don't have the players to play a dominant control game fwiw.

I nominate this as the title of the nufc season review DVD. I remember our narrow wins early this season, where we were getting battered for long patches. After the game Pardew was over the moon, seems like he doesnt mind if the other team completely controls the game as long as we are compact and pull off a sneaky 1-0 win. The problem is, that strategy is more likely to cause a few in the back of kruls net, since we dont have Mourinhos Inter back-4... It's less likely to concede goals than any other strategy tbqh. You're wrong there. The problem with Pardew is his application of strategies. Sometimes it is far more beneficial to go out and press the opponents into their own half and assert a dominance over the game. The Wolves game springs to mind immediately.

I nominate this as the title of the nufc season review DVD. Pardy surely. WIN.

Perch is certainly flavor of the weekend.

I nominate this as the title of the nufc season review DVD. Seconded. Very witty.
