  1. Yup. I'd love the UK to host a World Cup...except the stipulations are obscene.
  2. Which ones in particular? I have to ask who you'd rather play? We're just not great in general.

Yeah, beat me to it. The cab.
  4. Bit of a contrast between our games and theirs. Makes me feel (slightly) better.

Didn't realize Barnsley had played four away games in a row - last home match was on Feb 20th. A win for them tonight would be a huge problem for Sunderland.
  6. Yup, would love to see London Stadium as the "best" venue in the Championship. Was chatting to a Hammers mate and said that we hate Ashley (with good reason), but the Porn kings are proper gangsters and thieves. Imagine being sat on the fence and yet so far from the action - there was a joke from the weekend about the stewards being so slow to react because they were winded running from the fence to the sideline. So yeah, f*** West Ham. West Ham v Millwall at that stadium with those stewards would be amazing . Would love to see them go down. I know their run-in is tough, but they still have a handful of games against also-rans and relegation candidates, and you'd expect Lanzini, Arnautovic and Chicharito to come good for at least a couple of wins, like they did against Watford and Huddersfield. I just don't see the teams below them coming up with much, and so realistically West Ham would need to probably fail to get more than a point from playing both games against Southampton and Stoke. It's possible, but I don't think it's going to happen. Impressive that they've managed to fuck up such a favourable position though:
  7. He hasn’t really done a fire-fighting job like this before, has he? QPR I guess.
  8. BBC text guy says he’s going to call Man City “City” when they play Stoke City because f*** you .
  9. Captain Kane. Wildcard coming after this next comedy week.
  10. Sounds like he's slotted into Ox's role perfectly.
  11. I just looked at the table. Nobody’s even close, and the guy above you has scored 6 .
  12. “decent”. The highest score in the universe is 88, and they’re playing their Bench Boost. 64 so far with three Citeh to come is amazing.

That's just it - it feels like Sunderland's rivals have all been playing tough matches recently, and that's why they've struggled. I stand to be corrected, mind.
  15. All that said, Soton are looking woeful, Palace are all injured, and Huddersfield can't beat Swansea at home playing against 10 men for the entire game. And I haven't even mentioned Stoke, who have the worst goal difference in the entire league. It's a bit of a shitshow at the bottom.
  16. Naah, I can still see them getting up for a result or two against the big sides. Also got Stoke to play at home, and the other teams around them are not good. It would put the absolute shits up them, mind.
  17. West Ham getting relegated this year would surely be the funniest relegation of all time.
  18. Sounds like it is kicking off. Points deduction please.
  19. Just remembered this was supposed to be the "march" game at West Ham too .

That may be the single most clear-cut red card I have ever seen .
  21. Except it's an assist by Bolasie and an own goal. I'm even bad at knowing what just happened in the past.
  22. Nearly transferred Walcott out too. I’m just so bad at being psychic and knowing exactly what’s going to happen in the future.
  23. That wasn't the case though. In their last season at the Boleyn they finished 7th with their highest ever Premier League points total. Liverpool were 8th, Chelsea were 10th. Many West Ham fans believed the hype, they really did. The fact that they had been underwhelming/terrible for years and years was immaterial. There were naysayers, but there were many who felt that this was a great opportunity. I think the fact that Levy thought it was worth making sure that they didn't get to weasel out of any commitments down the line wasn't simply sour grapes - he knew that a local rival (of sorts!) getting a "free" stadium with good infrastructure right down the road could be a problem.
