  1. Spot on. We'll sell him this window I reckon, too good an opportunity to cash in big. We aren't getting relegated and there's no chance we'll make up 6pts to challenge for a European spot either. We have Norwich on Tuesday, Everton have Liverpool away. That could be 3 points with a home game against a bottom three team to follow. Wish people would have more faith in us even if the people above don't man. We've got Man City too, plus some more tough games before a nice run-in...which will be complicated by everyone fighting against relegation. It's still wide open.
  2. I hope you never complain when Man U are called "United" .
  3. I don't think it's so much your atrocious luck with injuries - Arsenal and ourselves have consistently been up there too - more that your squad isn't quite as strong, so you've found it harder to cope. I'm hoping that people like Rose, Vertonghen, Sandro, Paulinho, Townsend etc will be a bit fresher because of the layoffs, but there are still so many questions over Sherwood. It looks like a fantastic battle for 4th.

I have some sympathy with this, but nobody is making the obvious point that the home team get an extra 30 minutes at their home ground, in front of their own fans. It doesn't seem a totally unreasonable trade-off. Who's to say though, that if Man Utd had 120 minutes at the SoL, they wouldn't have scored again? Well nobody, but that's not the point. The argument was that the away team in the second leg gets an unfair advantage under the rules. My point was that that advantage is mitigated somewhat by the home team getting an extra 30 mins at their own pitch.

    Sunderland

I was going to say orange, but that's a colour too.
  6. He vowed that the tournament will not be built "on the blood of innocents". Too fucking late, pal, it already is.
  7. They're all problem areas, that's what's so ace .
  8. We paid less than £10M for a full back from Southampton, and look how that turned out . 22.5M is shitloads, but it solves a problem they have, potentially for a decade or so. When you have all the money in the world that's a reasonable trade-off.
  9. Liverpool miles and miles ahead of us in turnover, despite us finishing ahead of them four years in a row. It's a little dispiriting.

I didn't even realize Ki was on loan. That's two years running their best player is on loan .
  11. My first reaction was "Que?", but it does make sense. I don't think it's a coincidence that Platini has made this happen when it's France who benefit, but there you go.

Nah its always good to see somebody crack under pressure Absolutely. As long as it's not us. I really enjoyed the Man U/Sunderland one (sorry).

  14. The Berba to Spurs thing might just happen. Not sure what to think about it. I mean, he's one of my favorite players - ever, tbh - but there are so many possible issues.
  15. I've not been watching too closely, but I feel like this is the first decent game I've seen Mason have.
  16. Terrible play by Jozy to set that up.
  17. I'm thinking like that, but that it will be a Man U breakaway goal.
  18. Who was it on here who talked about Ki being a tidy player? Absolutely right. He uses the ball so well with both feet.
  19. We've crossed the Rubicon tbh.
  20. I'll be asking for that Aussie home shirt for my birthday.
  21. It would help. It wouldn't sort the whole thing out, obviously, but it would at least address one of the problems.
  22. I can live with it if they're Under-21 and loaned outside the Prem, though obviously they could still stockpile kids if that was the case. It's intra-league loans that should be the first target for the FA.
