  1. Your predictions are wild "Yeah a 4-1 definitely. That, or a 2-2". I see you take s*** from no one. Please take me as your servant. He takes shit from absolutely everyone, and then posts it all on here.
  2. Karma bites back. As soon as that second article came out I put both quotes side-by-side on a Spurs forum. It's not karma, he knew full well the implications of his contract as much as he knew the implications of Bilic's. It's just bullshit. The man's a bullshitter, which is fine, as long as (a) everyone knows that, which surely they do by now (b) he isn't managing your club, so it doesn't actually matter. As I said on the Spurs forum, I'm very grateful for the job he did for us, yet I'm also very grateful he's no longer doing it.
  3. Horrific clubs coming up it would seem. Think I've asked this before, but does anything change in the loan rules when moving from the Champ to the Prem? Can Watford simply carry on as they have this season?

Win-win for you guys I reckon. Even if he does get a new manager bounce and keep them up, it's surely only a matter of time before the shit hits the fan. It's going to be bloody entertaining for you guys either way (as long as you don't go down, natch).
  5. 3 draws I've only seen wins tbh ...which makes it all the more unnerving that you said "not seen us lose" rather than "only seen us win".
  6. Eh, why are people suddenly shitting themselves? 1st goal: A penalty. 2nd goal: s*** defending at the back and not paying attention. 3rd goal: An own goal. I think because 1st goal: s*** defending at the back and not paying attention. 2nd goal: s*** defending at the back and not paying attention. 3rd goal: s*** defending at the back and not paying attention. 4th goal: s*** defending at the back and not paying attention.

here here. Where? There there, Dave.
  8. Nice to hear. So Townsend is the only one trying for QPR, and Rose is the only one playing well for Sunderland. Mint. Townsend has looked good when I've seen them tbh, absolutely bags of energy. Lacking a bit of quality but he should be a decent player. I like him. Was really disappointed that he went out on loan (he's probably our only real cover for Lennon/Bale) but it seems to have suited him down to the ground.

  10. Naah, though you could argue that the Berbatov saga actually gave him his job. Berba left at the end of the transfer window, a few weeks before 'arry came in. If we'd got a proper centre-forward in with the money, then who knows - we might have got more than the famous two points from eight games. As it is, he then had a wodge of cash to spend in January.

As a long term devotee of Primo Levi, I love that third post.

That is probably the worst post I've ever seen on any forum. It's so ironic that the guy who wrote that post has an avatar of a girl wearing a t-shirt with fascist on it. Didn't see the avatar, but if you meant the horrendous post then that's not ironic, it's just apt.

The problem is that the spectrum on the site is massive. The idiots are spectacularly stupid and offensive, and there are quite a lot of them so (1) they are aggressively stupid (2) the intelligent ones respond aggressively, either because the post is so offensive or the original poster has already shown aggression to be the only tone he understands.

Apologies for the dramatic change of pace but this situation is a reasonable argument for the transfer window. You could imagine a Prem club sacking their manager now, poaching a manager from a Champ club and him "nicking" a couple of players from that club for the run-in. OK, as you were with Di Canio, McLaren et al. FWIW I'm mainly gutted that my wife didn't get to see MON at Villa Park. I think they were in enough of a mess that something did have to be done.
  15. Such confidence. Evaporated in just 7 weeks... It's Flip, man. His cup perpetually runneth over.

    Football pet hates

Under-rated/over-rated. "Is Simon Mignolet the most under-rated goalkeeper in the Premiership?" (BBC Text). Just say he's good FFS, everyone knows he's good. What he means is surely that Mignolet is a good player playing for a dodgy team. Or that the writer is just ignorant.

    And they'd lose Rose, obviously.
  18. Really like those, especially the white kit. Would be nice if it was these but, I don't know many of us fans that would look good in something that tight..... A lot of fans I've seen at the match wouldn't look good in a tuxedo with a matching paper-bag on their head, so I don't think they'd be able to work away towards those aims. The strip they have now is a tight fitting, but it just encourages me to have less takeaway's. When we had the Kappa strips at Spurs, that was what everyone moaned about. I thought they were our best strips since the late 70s.
  19. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21958058 Well if they thought the FA (and the rest of us) were picking on him because he's a foreigner, who's fault is this one?
  20. Makes you wonder whether we're so active in January not only because of reduced prices/contract issues but also a means of planning for profit for the rest of the financial year to come. You get the players you want (eventually) and turn a profit. I'm no finance man like so that may be guff. Those new players will be offset by the TV money increase I'd have thought, whether there is any more left in the tank is probably the main question you'd want to know the answer too. I think it's pretty obvious why you were so active this January .
  21. I broadly agree, but Sterling has been really poor for a while. Maybe too young, and just needs a break.
