  1. How in the name of Jesus Christ have we not scored here. Getting sick of this now.
  2. Fuck, not going to be another one of those nights for us, is it?
  3. I don't know about those ones. Question is, would he have given it at the other end?
  4. Ashley Young really is an irritating little shit, isn't he? (cue "You Don't Say?")
  5. That top right one is disturbingly convincing.
  6. To elaborate a bit, think all the self congratulation over what is still a horrible thing went a bit out of hand, all the congratulation really belongs to the fantastic medical team. Have to admit, I did think that a few times when everyone was going on in the media at how amazingly great the Spurs fans had been. Nowt against them, but effectively saying 'well done for not being utter c***s' is going a bit far. Agreed. One good thing is that most Spurs fans I know, and the majority of posters on the boards I use, are simply relieved that we weren't cunts rather than self-congratulatory about it. It is not hard to envisage a scenario where it wouldn't be immediately clear that something so serious was happening, or that the atmosphere was already poisonous, and fans taking the piss. I mean at every single club, obviously. I have personally sung "let him die, let him die, let him die" at injured opponents before (tongue-in-cheek, and usually only if the player in question has already been certified as a twat, but still). However, I'm not convinced that so many people have sought to "turn a young man's shocking and life-threatening misfortune into something of which we can all be proud". It seems to me that we've just seen the usual hyperbole from the usual suspects in the press. I guess that I just haven't seen the worst of it, living in the US. A Spurs fan may just have saved his life, though

If I scored a winner at Arsenal, I'd be giving it full sliding double Vs at the crowd. And I'd be getting dog's abuse back, and fair enough. That's the game.
  8. I'm in two minds. It would also be fantastic to see him finish on the losing side, having been booed and laughed at all day by the home support. A second yellow for a blatant dive would also be marvelous. Naah. Really obvious racist abuse of either Ba or Tiote, with them subsequently headbutting him, knocking him unconscious and breaking his nose. Wave for the physio now, you little shit.
  9. Not the best reffing performance in the world. Samaras must be livid.
  10. Well it can, but things like the big kit deal have kept them ticking over. Annoyingly, they have succeeded in trading on their name to keep their revenue very high, and that seems to be able to cope with their massive wage bill.
  11. That one middle left needs to be Andy Warhol'd
  12. Has he not got anywhere else to go? Bizarre. I guess N-O should treat it as a compliment of sorts.
  13. The thing I don't get is the number of people on that thread who genuinely still believed they could get top four before last night. I mean, what in the absolute fuck? They have now taken eight points out of a possible 30. I know their run-in isn't the toughest, but they still have to play at you guys, at home to Chelsea and away to Swansea (which genuinely is one of the toughest away matches "on the calendar"). Even if they won last night they still needed three of us, Arse, Chelsea and Newcastle to implode.
  14. Jesus. Started to look at the thread last night, then went to bed. Got up this morning, went to have a look and there's fucking 53 pages of the stuff. Not sure whether my sides can take the strain.
  15. Meme? It needs to be Parky's avatar.
  16. Fucking 18 shots on target against Stoke's two. 13 corners to their one. Over 70% possession. It's like we were playing Sunderland. I can't help but feel we just need to win one game and we'll be back on track. After Chelsea on Saturday we've played everyone in the top seven twice. Get something out of that and we'll be fine. Lose and it's anybody's guess what will happen.
  17. That's a pretty gross understatement tbf This is what Wikitravel have to say about the lovely little town of Makhachalalakamakelelea: "WARNING: Travel to Makhachkala is extremely dangerous and strongly discouraged. The presence of rebels and widespread criminality is highly active in the city, sharing a similar crime rate to Grozny and Magas." I wanted to be kind, just incase anyone started going "I HEAR SOME PARTS OF MACKERELITCHCOCACOLA ARE LOVELY THIS TIME OF YEAR" Why I didn't mention the obvious problems a Cameroonian would have in Russia... Language?
  18. Yep. And it's not like he'd be poor if he hadn't moved. He'd still be earning a s***-ton. See, this is what's so weird to me. How much difference can that extra money do when you're already on such an insane wage? Surely quality of life while you're playing should be considered and weighted against the extra money you'd make? I would so much rather live in Milan or Barcelona than in some shithole in Russia, even if I only made £15m instead of £25m a year or whatever. Sets you up for life, doesn't it. He tolerates three or four years there, then can do what he wants.
  19. been posted, apparently he wasnt allowed on to the pitch Really? Not what we heard. Stewards allowed him on and he accompanied the guy to the hospital. Edit: Apologies, read the thread now, print the legend I guess!
  20. God I hope he pulls through. Apparently there was a Spurs fan at the game who is a cardiologist at the London Chest Hospital and ran onto the pitch. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/309080
  21. I was re-watching the game (for tactical analysis) but switched it off before I got to 40 mins. Didn't feel right.
  22. This one jumped out at me. Christ. Couldn't imagine the game without that law. Imagine some of the 'challenges'. I remember watching old footage where they would push the goalkeeper into the net for a goal. Nat Lofthouse is the classic one in the FA Cup Final after the Munich air crash - he just charged Harry Gregg into the net.
