That was a foul too.

Yeah Tbf, they also said they didn't want the Villains to win. Didn't they predict "Manchester United" for one of the games too? Blackburn v QPR?
-
I'm taking it that you haven't watched the vid then.

It'll be rammed. Go to The Magpie on New Street or Woodin's Shades on the corner of Bishopsgate and Middlesex St. The White Hart on the corner of Bishopsgate and Liverpool Street is also decent, can't remember if it's open on Saturday. If you want to venture further east, there are a few boozers on Commercial Rd (Commercial Tavern, Golden Heart, Ten Bells) but at weekends they are the domain of skinny jeans and hipster glasses. Leffe- an impressive feat for one night out- was the bar in Chalk Farm the Hill? Bartok I think. Was a long time ago though, and at that point I was floating...

Not sure I follow this, Pip. Are you saying that other teams don't appoint people that they think are best for them? Eh?
-
Aw shit, you said before the game. Still, I only wanted to tell that story again so I could relive the experience in my head, so nil desperandum. Before the game I'd be tempted to grab a drink in the centre of town somewhere. Maybe somewhere near Liverpool St (Spitalfields?), then take the train to White Hart Lane. Or Exmouth Market (there used to be a brilliant Portuguese table-football bar there), then get the tube.

Haringey Irish centre only bar near the ground that lets in away fans, 5 mins walk from stadium. Literally hundreds of great bars and places in London. Don't limit yourself just to the bars in the nearby of the ground as theyll inevitably be packed out and s****. Well quite. After one Spurs-Newcastle game I ended up dancing in a kilt to karaoke in a Ghanaian pub, then having Sadie Frost sign my table at a pub in Camden before a pill-fueled night dancing to some cracking house and ska in another pub, then picking up a beautiful Polish blonde in a classical bar up by Chalk Farm. Your only limit is your imagination (and wallet).

When you bomb out of the WC in '14 and reports come out of players disrespecting Redknapp and undermining his authority then the FA will back up a truckload of cash onto the biggest, unemployed foreign manager out there. You did it with Sven, you did it with Capello. You'll do it again. It's a shame that the FA is reactive in these hirings and that they don't possess enough foresight to actually hire the best man for the job, regardless of public opinion. I'll be honest: you look at a team like Liverpool and they've always hired who they thought was best for them, regardless of what the media think. They don't react to the failures by swinging to the opposite side of the pendulum, and they've been moderately successful in spite of the financial constraints that they have. Wat.

Well that was terrible reffing.

what's the date of the final 2 friendlies? 26th May and 2nd June. First game of the Euros is 11th June. Last day of the season is 13th May. Fixture list?
-
I considered this, until I came to the Stuart Pearce Realisation Can't wait for that Big Bang Theory episode.
-
I think that may happen, at least until the end of Euro 2012.

Don't really understand this. I think he's the best candidate.
-
Yep, the general dislike towards Liverpool has certainly escalated this season and this is pretty much down to Dalglish being in charge. Needs to retire and completely leave the game. He's doing himself, Liverpool and English football no favours whatsoever. In any case though, f*** Liverpool. Well quite. And that's why I hope he stays forever.

Yeah, that seemed to be a major part of the defence. Did you read that piece from the Man City fan who was a QC? He seemed to think the Judge was really well-respected. I suspect that, as you said, the prosecution wasn't the best.
-
also to believe that what saggy face said on the phone to weasely besely was a lie. Did he instruct them to believe that? I thought that it was rather that if they did believe that then they had to acquit him - which makes more sense.
-
Just realized the utter redundancy of me posting that Suarez "has form" for being a nasty, cynical, cheating bastard.
-
Has form. Nasty little elbow last time too.
-
And, potentially, worse than that. Imagine the furore if Suarez tweeted that.

I think the media have been giving Downing, Adam, Henderson and Arshavin (and to an extent, Walcott) a fair bit of stick, actually. The only time they were really up their arses (the Liverpool players anyway) was at the beginning of the season, when we didn't know how the whole thing would pan out. Even then, everyone thought that Henderson was over-priced, a fair few thought the same about Downing.

Well, the last time we got to the CL it was the bit-part players that did the business. Sadly that included Jenas and Bentley, who are also injured. Don't know where Gio is (probably bloody injured), and still miffed that we loaned Pienaar out. Comedy bench tonight. Thing is, (whisper it) we're actually pretty good, so you never know.
-
how are they looking for saturday? Oh, we're just resting them all for you.

We're playing Liverpool. We're gonna WIN! Sword of truth and justice and all that.
