  1. I'm torn. Part of me would have liked us to have signed Suarez because he's great, but honestly, he's such an utter cunt I don't think it's worth it.
  2. Commentator here said "What do we make of that then" about Suarez and Jagielka. Was dying for Mcmanamanaman to just say "Suarez is a cunt".
  3. Come on Everton, hold it together.
  4. Fight! Fight! Fight! Hope it kicks off big time now. I would love someone to go through Suarez knee high and break both his legs. "There you go, try diving now". Saving grace is that it might just make people hate Liverpool a tiny nit more.
  5. Ironically just started to watch the "fail" compilation in the Chat thread. That really shouldn't be a red, I'd be fucking livid if that was a Spurs player. Not convinced it should even be a booking, though will have to see it again. Either way, nobody should ever get a red for kicking Suarez. A medal, maybe.
  6. Played centreback for years, but never scored a goal as good as this. 2011 09 21.Own Goal,Oklahoma Baptists-Mid America Nazarene.
  7. They did OK. Well-organized (two banks of four, men behind the ball) and some nice football when they had it. Keeper made a couple of terrific saves first half and we hit the woodwork two or three times. They scored early second half, and you did wonder if it was going to be one of those days. Eventually we brought a young left-winger on, and they just couldn't deal with him on the left and Dos Santos on the right. A couple of early crosses and some shitty marking and that was that. Could see them getting a result against someone (but hopefully not us).
  8. It's precisely because we do worry about our own team that we hate Man City. Suddenly one of the top four places has gone, and wages have gone totally insane. The lottery wins of Chelsea and Man City have totally fucked over teams like ourselves and yourselves, who had the potential to be regular challengers for the top three or four. Why do you hate Man U and Liverpool? Personally I have never had a particular problem with Man U, but I hate Liverpool because when I was a kid, Spurs were pretty good, but Liverpool won everything. Where I grew up, you were Spurs, Arsenal or Liverpool. I hated Liverpool because of their impact on my team, not some abstract sad notion that scousers steal stuff or some such nonsense.
  9. If they're happy to keep paying his wages they can loan the fucker to us. Adebayor and Tevez up front ain't bad.
  10. What a disappointment. I was waiting for maybe a centre-back to bullet in a header from a goal-kick from the centre-circle. Same Christ, you're hard to please! I've headed a lot of footballs in my time, and that was a seriously good header!
  11. Been doing it for years, why stop now?
  12. How on earth did Petrov avoid a booking?
  13. Bit redundant, but Drenthe has looked pretty lively.
  14. Marveaux on the right, man Their left side was just abysmal against Arsenal. Wasn't Hoilett kinda playing out there? He simply refused to track back. I would love to have had Lennon up against them,
  15. Looks the best of his age group to me. Gutted that the Arse got him.
  16. This. I would back up what PhilG says about Dalglish's media approach too. The ref thing was silly, but his interview after the Spurs game was classy and recognized as such by the Spurs fans. The fact that Liverpool players looked like they started trying when he came in might have a little to do with their own egos, but could also be interpreted as poor tactics and communication from Hodgson. One accusation levelled at 'arry is that he is a poor tactician, just sending the players out to express themselves. There may be an element of truth in that, but players like Bale and VDV have gone on record as saying they appreciate that side of his management. If you're happy with your management at that level, then that will surely show in your demeanour and performance. Finally, to take TT's suggestion that Dalglish is an outdated manager who's maybe a little too keen on British players - well that is rather backed up by the board bringing in Comolli. That could be seen as an attempt to balance it out.
  17. General opinion on RAWK was that he was one of only a couple of players who did OK. (I read quite a bit of RAWK yesterday. Ha, and furthermore, ha.)
  18. If anything, Blackburn will score a couple more. Arsenal is in full on deer-in-headlights mode. I can see Walcott doing some damage. Tbh it's just the Spurs fan in me, trying to pre-empt disappointment.
  19. Just slotted it in. Nice calm reaction too, just doing his job.
  20. Still feel Arsenal will get back into this.
  21. I cannot wait to hear what Wenger says if it stays like this. A red card for Arsenal would be even better.
  22. Gervinho should get at least a booking for that hair.
  23. Can.t wait to play Blackburn tbh. Starting against Man U, Man C, Wolves away and Liverpool feels like a different competition entirely.
  24. What a cracking finish that was. Very clever.
