  1. That's probably the best outcome TBH, try the track for a few years and reconsider if it really is terrible. Spread the cost of changes to the stadium as well. Would be a bit rough on Spurs, basically saying we were right all along. I'm a bit miffed by some of the stick Spurs have been getting - not on here but from people like Coe and several journalists. It's not as if we made the promises about an athletics legacy ourselves, or designed the bloody thing in the first place. We've just said we're interested, this is our plan and we reckon it's the most viable one (though we would say that). I'm backing the mighty O's.
  2. My suspicion is that they'll go with West Ham, then a couple of years down the line - when the layout hasn't worked - they'll rip up the track anyway.
  3. Well Spurscommunity has fallen over, so maybe something really is happening.
  4. Agree, made a thread on it a while back. I did have some sympathy for it, but it's now distorting the lower divisions too much as well. Loaning in the same division is patently wrong, there just doesn't seem to be much need for debate there. I'd say no loans (in) allowed for the Prem (unless you have two keepers injured), one per team for the Champ, two per team for Divs 1 & 2. Maybe restrict it to Under-23. Those are pretty arbitrary restrictions, but what the hell. I actually think the transfer windows are a good idea, but the Leagues need to tear up the loan system and start again.
  5. Damn, and I was hoping that Abramovich was losing interest. That's the top four locked in for the next million years then.
  6. no chance. studio says 45% BBC possession stats are always wildly unreliable. Someone once said that they are based on what the commentators think.
  7. I'm watching you, watching this, if that helps. It's on delay in the US.
  8. The last couple of games I remember when I came on here and you guys were so negative you won.
  9. So much depends on Defoe. If it's a good Defoe day it could be scary, if not then there's too much reliance on VDV to score.
  10. Does anyone else think McCarthy has been watching Blackpool? The last few weeks Wolves have been pretty gung-ho.
  11. Tbh I reckon Liverpool have been the dirtier today. Torres always leaves a boot in.

    Dan Gosling

Tbf, look closely and he's in the penalty area.
  13. Mutch replacement? Dunno, different type of player. Maybe Buckley will go inside? Also interested to hear from brummie how decent/not decent Andreas Weimann is. He's very, very highly rated indeed. Austrian lad, played for us this season away at Rapid Vienna - his boyhood club - got a pretty bad injury, but he's a very promising player indeed. Hope he gets some run outs for you Seen the Villa kids play a handful of times and he was the one who stood out, but in a non-obvious way - if that makes sense. Bannan, Albrighton, Delfouneso and that kid from Watford looked good, but something about Weimann really struck me. Classy and clever. We're talking a couple of years ago though, don't know how he's come on.
  14. Hey Brummie, which Villa fanzine editor was on btw?
  15. No Carrol? He's injured Look at their bench ffs The other day we played a friendly and the following played - Woodgate, O'Hara, Keane, Gio, Kranjcar, Khumalo. None of them are even on the bench in the above line-up, King and the Hudd are injured. Our squad is mental. We haven't even mentioned Bassong. The problem is, I still see our first XI as probably the fifth best in the league. Our second and third XIs are blinding though...
  16. Well, nobody really knows, but supposedly Quinn and Jamie Redknapp have said 6M. That's supposed to be sell-on fee plus some money still due to us, God knows, but lookee here http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/8802445.Quinn__time_needed_to_sign_Bent_replacement/
  17. That makes more sense, can't believe he was on the Bosman list.
  18. The lad always knew he was going to play football so could not give a s*** about school imo. This is the sort inside banter the net was made for Spurs ITK gets everywhere...
  19. Well there's two words in Tottenham Hotspur and three in West Ham United (five in total), and it's a fusion of North and East London - we could call it the NE5 Stadium?
  20. Jesus, what happens if he becomes beige!?!
