  1. This threads been sorted already. Hes better than Jonas, he used to be better than he is now, he might improve here, theres better options available.

    Loïc Remy

As a player, great signing even on loan. Hopefully his character is better than its appeared to be so far also.
  3. They were hardly a secret tbf Aye, im referring in the 2nd part moreso to the fact that we used to make a point of getting clubs we were in negotation with to sign confidentiality agreements didnt we? I remember that being part of our whole new system. No more paying in installments, no loans, no letting opposing clubs leak our dealings etc That was a good strategy really, understand sometimes it will be hard but we shouldnt encourage it.
  4. Its nice as a fan to be updated, but theres really no need for it. The end results will speak for themselves. Doesnt generally make sense to allow your transfer dealings to be passed through the media if you dont want to build competition for yourself. Remy showed that last season, other clubs may not have our scouting system but they may have more status/money. To compete we should be doing our best to keep our interests under wraps.

    Alan Pardew

Its so bad its almost as if sportsdirectnews want us to dislike Pardew. I wonder why they would want that?
  6. Id be more inclined to believe the viewpoint of the OL fan replying to that article who rates him well. Most fans of a side moving on a player arent often that positive about them.
  7. Aye, should happen eventually. What rant was this? Must've missed it.
  8. In terms of negotiation it is actually far better for us to have a history of being stubborn like. At the start clubs will look to call your bluff, if they realise theres no bluff to call as we've shown previously that puts us in a much stronger position when a player wants to join us.

    Alan Pardew

What does that even mean? You mean the people who didn't rate his managerial record, disliked his style of football and saw it as completely unsustainable and inevitably saw his shortcomings brought to light. Proper "hipster" that, judging someone on their managerial ability Well im guessing we all pretty much looked in disgust when Pardew was announced and he admitted himself he had the fans to win over. He won me over and a fair few more but you still had that certain section that even after a 5th place finish wasn't good enough and we were still s*** and Pardew needed to go, so you're never going to win them ones over. However the people who enjoyed the success of a 5th place finished, looked forward to Europe and generally felt excited to push on but only to be let down by a horrific season, now seemingly hate Pardew again like he first arrived. Those are the fans that i'm not sure will fall in the same trap again if he does have another successful season. Holding hands up and saying Pards has done well for a second time isn't something i can see fans doing easily. I think everyone enjoyed finishing 5th and I don't think anyone denied he'd done well overall. But some people could still see the problems coming, that's all. There were certain warning signs that season of what a clueless coward the man is (wolves 2:2 was a prime example*). But yeah the people he did win over completely will be harder to win over a second time, and with good reason. * 2-1 obviously but without an incorrect decision they would have equalised. Equally other games he set up lead to better than expected results that season, due to his more defensive mentality & our strength upfront. We were very hard to beat. It really depends on whatever narrative people have about something. If you're looking to dislike pardew he will give you the reasons to do so, from a balanced pov he has good & bad points.
  10. Force fans onto a site advertising your clothing crap if they want the latest news yeah, be useful if they'd proof read the title.
  11. Also possibly not a mint idea to get rid of one of the few lads left that actually cares a bit about the club & not just his own ego.
  12. No chance Saylor agrees to go to Qpr

Not been confirmed whos paying the fee yet

    Kevin Keegan

His passion is just class & he comes across as really personable. Has achieved loads in his careers, yet seems really laid back and modest when he talks. Could you get more opposite to Kinnear Ability speaks for itself. Seems Kinnear tries to cover up the silence with his mouth. Its insecurity that causes his outbursts.

    Loïc Remy

You should really ask questions when people make light of rape allegations, yet are massively affected by Kinnear telling lies.
  16. Jayson

    Graham Carr

Taylor/Colo & two weaker fullbacks than we have now were more than successful enough a couple seasons ago. Taylor is a good centre back with solid coaching behind him.
  17. We're not Pompey. That's it. That's enough for people like him. Overly harsh tbh Hes saying the less debt we have the more we can compete financially in the future & the more secure we are as a club as far as i can tell. Ashley may not have us as his main priority, but lessening our debt (As its now owed to him) and obviously improving our ability to get value for money when buying players is in his & our best interests also.

    Derek Llambeezy

Don't think Ashley is as involved day to day to make the call. Llambias was always on Pardew's side, and so he's replaced him with someone who isn't. If anything this move is a vote of confidence for Carr. Pardew was already moaning about getting older English players, and Llambias was probably looking to be in his corner on that s***. Carr was probably like nah son, and we all know Mike Ashley has never been about that. Sure, but a vote of confidence for Carr is you just trust Carr. You dont put your faith in Llambias or Kinnear reporting it back to you without bias. They're still biased by their own stupidity, though atleast Kinnear has some actual connection to football.

    Derek Llambeezy

If Ashley massively respects Carr & Carr disagrees with Pardew, why does he need Kinnear to act as mediator? If you trust Carrs opinion you back him. How can Kinnear act as advisor to who is right, unless Ashley thinks his ability to judge a player is just as good as or better than Carr's? Story makes no sense.
  20. The final plot twist: Ethi is Joe Kinnear.
  21. Just listening now. Its actually impressive how wrong he gets peoples names. Its so consistant.
  22. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/newcastle-united/10123496/Joe-Kinnear-set-to-make-shock-return-to-Newcastle-United-as-director-of-football-in-management-shake-up.html He just really rates Kinnear, it's as straightforward as that imo. I really think it's likely he'll replace Pardew at some point this season. I must have missed how much he rated him. Bit crazy. That sounds more than just liking to work with the guy. More like he idolizes him. No wonder Kinnear thought hed get his job back before, he was probably going to.
  23. "Ive never managed or been in charge of a club thats been relegated" Cause he always jumps ship right before it sinks the lemon
