  1. You feel for the man who treat NUFC and the captaincy with utter contempt and whose non performances last year were a key factor in our relegation? Jesus wept, have a f***ing word. Yeah our top scorer caused our relegation obviously.
  2. He hasnt started a game in the championship since the 1-1 with QPR. The rest is carling cup/Fa cup games, the striker in a 4-5-1 or had 30 - 5 mins to make an impact. Its not enough of a basis to say he wouldnt be able to finish
  3. If Ranger had've played more, he'd have scored more. People are basing him not scoring on chances he gets in the last 5 mins of games.
  4. Cleverely scored in one of watfords last two home games. Which is more impressive if he wasnt playing tbf
  5. I dont normally even quote you. Im telling you that you get wound up because you reply in 4 sentances near every time explaining how much you're being victimized. You're on a football forum mate.
  6. Funniest thing is the whining and trying to blame the object of their spite. EXACTLY like spiteful, tearful 6 year olds that get told off by mammy ! Do you think maybe the issue, is that you take everything a tiny bit massively seriously ? Seems quite obvious
  7. Just caught up. Hopefully loven and Rout wont be out long, glad we're 1-0. Lets go on from hereee
  8. 4 assists and a goal in 6 games. Pretty superb, been our most dangerous player since hes arrived i reckon.
  9. Rangers a bit better yeah & Carroll does go down easily at times or get muscled out of it. But the Swansea game was a good example of a match where Carroll knocked on quite a few balls to one of our players when he actually had support & was still called rubbish at doing it afterwards. I think people are just noticing when he doesnt do it moreso than when he does because it fits with the idea that he cant do it well.
  10. He's much better at bringing team mates into play than most give him credit for. I see that mainly as a strange myth which hes disproven every single time ive watched him play.
  11. Takes a couple of days. Hasn't even been 24 hours yet Theyre now up
  12. His common sense made him choose an option which devalues the entire point of the league his team is competing in. The league itself comes before a manager winning games in that league. Every manager can play who he wants to an extent, its fairly obvious when a side is throwing a match like wolves did. I see no reason to make every single team in the league play their best side, whats happening now is fine. The rubbish teams that cannot rest their entire sides without creating crap non competetive games should be punished for doing so & the teams who can rest more players and still compete for points should be allowed to do so aslong as they do compete. Whether that fits to exactly the way some crap generalized rule is written out doesnt matter much. Aslong as the reason the rule was put in place is stuck to, they can carry on.
  13. I imagine a mixture of common sense and looking at the team they regularly play in most games. If they consistantly favor a certain set of players over others & then drop a lot of them for one specific game then its clearly dodgy. No one saying anything about a side dropping one player are they.
  14. Exactly. The point of the league is determine who's the best and who's the worst. If managers weaken their teams too often, chances are they'll finish lower. It's their choice to take the risk or not. Its very unlikely teams in the bottom half will beat sides in the top 4. It is quite likely that theyll do better in the following game if they rest their better players for those games. Its not really down to managerial ability, theyd be stupid not to. If one starts and gains an advantage from it, they all start. Shouldnt be allowed to happen.
  15. So bigger teams shouldn't have to follow the rules because they can afford better players? I think the entire point the rule would have been put into place is to keep the league competitive so sides cannot throw matches, more so than wanting the best teams to be as brilliant as they can possible be. The better teams can afford to drop players and keep the league competitive, worse sides cant.
  16. So it'll be fine if all the managers of sides in the bottom half rested their entire side when playing the top 4, aslong as they get to choose we'll ignore whether the point of the league actually holds any value.
  17. The idea of managers surrendering games against sides in the top 4 makes them being in the same league absolutely worthless. As said, the bigger teams can play weaker sides and can still compete for points. Whether thats fair is completely irrelevant. A team like Wolves playing reserves and kids against Manchester United is a difference scenario and basically represents a manager making absolutely no attempt whatsoever to compete for points, which is the entire point of the table system.
  18. Just seen Carrolls goal, not sure how anyone can argue Guthries involvement in Central midfield when he can play through balls like that.
