Are you actually comparing this pudding in the air to 2of the greatest headerers of a ball the premier league has had along with Sir les, your having an absolute laugh if you think this plank who's headers are an absolute joke to be honest is anything like Shearer or big Andy was Hows he a pudding in the air? He's generally done well in the air whenever given a decent opportunity. He has a strong build, he's made for those situations. We should really have been putting in far more crosses to him. Headers are a joke? He hit the bar v Man United, Scored from a tight angle v Sunderland, Edge of area v Norwich, decent way out yesterday. They're not easy headers. He's poor on the floor, no point having a go at what he's good at.

2nd half v Germany is the template we should be working from imo. Kane, Vardy with Alli just behind. Henderson, Lallana, Dier, Rose, Smalling, Cahill, Clyne, Hart. That front 3 is key, potentially superb. Rooney can get a look in interchanging with them perhaps.
-
His headers are of high quality, thats his strength. Goal yesterday, one against Sunderland, the one against Norwich, these are all top class finishes. Shearer/Carrollesque headers. His finishing with his feet & general speed of foot very dodgy. He's not scored a single goal with his feet with a defender between him & the goalie. Two pens, two 1on1's and one tap in. As seen yesterday, he tries to get the ball out of his feet & its too slow and easily blocked. He airshot the one slid across, even though it was good defending also. Same reason for these "clumsy" red cards. He has the heading, the strength, movement. He has to be quicker with his feet, maybe championship will help him.

Needs to work on finding space to shoot with his touch, too slow. Always blocked or deflected.

Achieves nowt. Only point of today should be showing Benitez support.
-
Was hoping we wouldn't have to see the same wasters that has contaminated our line up the entire season They're just getting another chance to sell themselves. Same as Taylor. No suprise Lascelles is "ill".
-
Who cares about the line up ffs

Charnley wasn't MD when Shearer was here. I know the bloke is incompetent but I hope he's got enough about him to get this one right. The fact we got Benitez in the first place surely suggests a shift in tactics. The last time we went down, we were getting Nolan & Ryan Taylor via a swap deal for Insomnia. Then Shearer as manager for a few games who wouldnt have demanded the wages of Benitez surely. Ashleys already put a lot of value on being in the premier league via all this which he did not do before. He just went with a fan favorite, his compromise wasnt monetary. Our biggest issue, is if he decides that Benitez is more than is needed to perform in the championship & get back up. Thats the only reason he'd decide its not worth the money/compromise. But they've already admitted a fault in their system getting him in the first place, so why go backwards again.

The fact Ashley described Benitez as formidable says something. I dont think Ashleys so slow that he cannot understand a champions league winning manager, who's won elsewhere & is highly reputed isnt the best person to lead. I just think he constantly prefers to risk trying to get good results via cheaper means than getting someone more proven. The key is whether the new money in the premier league, dictates that Ashley understands the need to stop risking results to save money with cheaper less demanding managers who dont care about full control. The larger money in general balances out his whole need for buying cheaper players to make money on, cheaper managers etc & i think we've seen that sway already.
-
While surrounded by players who didnt care aye. He's completely right in regards to that side having far more fight obviously. Imagine us being 4-0 down to Arsenal now. Sissoko & Wijnaldum changing that game. Laughable.
-
Marlon Harewood helped us get promoted that season, lets keep that in mind.
-
He's ready for the prem now, be great if we keep him.
-
Well yeah, this was a point being made at the time. Logically/robotically it made sense, he wasnt playing much, we probably wanted better players. Psychologically, the guy just kept us up & became representational of a fighting spirit. That attitude could have spread but nah, sack him off.
-
Our best hope is Cathro digests information incredibly quickly, as the whole situation is pretty much set up for him. He's seen the bad & the good. Seems very likely he'll get the chance if he wants it.
-
Just another player who joined to get a move on. Talent is great, but theres so much more to it as Leicester have shown. We miss what we had in Nolan, Barton, Guthrie etc. Less talent, far more passion for the side while with us. Need to clear out all these players.
-
How is there a process You already admitted what went wrong when you sacked off all your previous ideas, hired a manager like Rafa, spunked loads of money on England players etc etc Basically, you've been running the club like a bunch of twats. Which you're well aware of. Atleast you saved loads of money on the managers wage for a while

Its brilliant really. A proper comedy.
-
I think we could do ourselves a load of justice by just praising the work he's done in the short time he was here, whether he stays or not. We've gone down, may aswell show what we're about as fans. Ive no idea why anyone would go to the spurs game, but there better be some Rafa chants on the go for the droves that clearly will.
-
Sissoko can fuck a mile off
-
Redmond sets up the 4th. Thats 1 goal, 2 assists & 1 off the post. If no one buys him from the prem, we should be straight in there. The lad is class.
-
Goes without saying
-
Not worth him being on the pitch atm. Mirallas would do more down the middle.
-
That first goal is dodgy as fuck. He moves away from it when he sees it's coming to the opposite side.
-
Was even till the Keeper & Funes mori gave away a goal, talk about breaking the pressure.
