  1. Can't see this happening personally. I'd imagine Dyche would want to keep him.
  2. Im not surprised the lad is desperate to leave after what happened with some of those knackers the other week mind.
  3. It's about balance though. We're controlling games and very solid defensively with the current system, but not scoring a lot because we don't have enough finishing quality in forward areas or the chances being created aren't of a high enough quality. A high XG doesn't mean much when chances are falling to Joelinton or they are the result of accumulation of lots of minor chances. I think the system needs tweaking even if it is to the detriment of our solidity. If 0-0s start stacking up that is likely to see us start to slip down the table.
  4. He usually does link up play pretty well IMO. He's just massively out of form and fitness tbh. Hope it's not permanent.
  5. Feel like it might as well be 5 days left since the last day is the day of the second leg.
  6. Fair enough. Point still stands in general though.
  7. Must say I've never agreed with the idea that players can't play against their parent clubs. I suppose there's a conflict of interest argument but ultimately it's a transfer and the lending club is usually paying wages and a fee. It seems ridiculous that Forest have to play Hennessey in such a big game. In Italy for example it is perfectly normal for loan players to play against their parent clubs.

    Joelinton

He's just not good enough in an attacking sense to play in the front 3 IMO. It massively inhibits our attacking potency.
  9. Isak is a fucking gazelle like. Can't wait until he's fully up to speed.
  10. We've lost the plot pretty much since Joelinton's miss. XG is bollocks really isn't it when it doesn't take into account the fact the players getting the chances are wank.
  11. Not just the fee too. Maddison on 5 year deal would be about £120k a week, Gordon would possibly be £60k. That's the difference of like 15 million over life of the contract.
  12. Onana has always looked physically dominant to me and a great ball winner but basically can't pass water.
  13. Insane statistic this. Leicester between 2014/15 to 2015/16 mustn't be far off. Edit: 14->40 so 26.
  14. The club knows how much being stuck with deadwood on big wages has hamstrung us, and Ashworth has underlined the importance of being good buyers and sellers for FFP. When you get a good offer for a player with no long term future you have to snatch at it in our situation.
  15. Spurs handing Arsenal the title. Must smart for their fans.
  16. He'd be cup tied for the semi final (which Henderson is already) so would defeat the point a bit I reckon.
  17. I'm generally of the opinion that Wood is so bad that we basically lose nothing by letting him go, tbh. I accept his use last season because we were such a desperate and sinking side. At that point just the fundamental tactical structure his signing gave us (an actual CF in the XI, allowing Maxi to go back wide) was worth it. However I think we've evolved enough as a team now to not need him in the side and individually he actually makes us worse when he plays. Sounds harsh as he grafts but it's true IMO. If this allows us to get some cash back it's a good move. If it allows us to roll the dice at another more flexible option then it's a sensational move.
  18. It's not so much getting a striker in. Having 3 out and out centre forwards is always a bit much in the era of 1 striker systems. Wood was redundant once we got Isak. only the timing of that signing and his injury has kept him around this long. A wide player or attacking midfielder can gives us more impetus/flexibility than having Wood on the bench. And ideally could be an emergency option upfront. I really hope this is the thinking.
  19. Really hopeful this sees some movement in the market in the next couple of weeks. It suggests we're keen to not stand still, and are willing to be ruthless to make things happen to improve the side.
  20. Oh aye undoubtedly since he left. But you could say the same about somebody like Luuk de Jong. I was meaning purely in terms of NUFC performances Joselu was better than Wood. Probably comfortably tbh - considering the side he was in.
  21. NUFC.com are saying Nottingham Forest would need to free up one of their two loan spots (taken up by Henderson and Lodi). I'm sure it used to be that the limit was two domestic and two from abroad - but this does seem to now be two maximum in total at any time (and max 4 over a seaso ). If it's true they're looking at a loan - they'd have to either purchase one of the above two or terminate one of the loans.
  22. Definitely. I can't believe Serie A clubs overlooked him too.
