  1. Oh yes, although I think the inclusion of repeat moves makes it more believable. Toronto FC -> Juventus -> Dortmund -> Stoke
  2. Toronto FC -> Juventus -> Toronto FC -> Stoke I think mine just predicted Giovinco's next move
  3. A major football tournament would be shit in those places anarl tbf. I'm sure Moscow and St Petersburg are fine like, bar all the freaks. The coastal cities like Kaliningrad and Sochi will make pretty good venues too. Russia is decent in the summer. The weather is great, the women are ridiculous, lots of outdoor public space (three cheers to the commies) and the booze is kept artificially cheap to sedate the masses. Not sure I'd be fancying hanging out with the England fans mind.
  4. Well, I was just making a joke but are you suggesting that makes it ok? Of course it's not right. Russia has a bizarre concept of masculinity and a culture that is still really struggling to find where it sits in the 21st century. People do have an over-inflated bogieman complex regarding Russia, however. It's generally safe and certainly has lots of pleasant cities to visit in the summer months, speaking from my own experience and that of friends who live there.
  5. People pop off on their jollies to Dubai, Maldives, Mauritius etc every year where you can get imprisoned or lashed for being a homosexual - and yet Russia is apparently this terrifying no-go zone.
  6. Russia has 11 time zones. The host cities are in 4 of them: Kalingrad, Moscow, Samara and Yektarinburg.
  7. Inter should be signing Patrik Schick from Sampdoria eventually, so they'll want Jovetic shifted again. Definitely a goer, if we are at all interested. Not sure he's ever going to be the player he was as a youngster at Fiorentina but he'd offer us an option.
  8. More jealousy from Mr North Shields Remind me of the rise in North Shields' crowds when a load of NUFC decided to follow them please? It should be a good crowd tonight at Perth for Jarra vs Hebburn! Apparently running a non-league club professionally, attracting great crowds and having a proper commercial set-up is a 'bandwagon'. Shields has always had the potential to have a football league club (they did have, once upon a time) and crowds of 1700 in the Evostik show that potential. It's just a shame we can't have more NE sides climbing the ladder.
  9. Murphy and Merino are squad signings, but who could have the potential to grow into key players long term. I'm happier with signings of that mind. I think this one is more of an obvious squad signing, settling to just plug a gap.
  10. I reckon in this market he's probably good value for £5 million and will be better than expected. The problem is even if he is, and chips in beyond expectations, it's still not really enough. He's a squad signing rather than an upgrade.
  11. Basically exploiting the fact we have a good manager rather than embracing it.
  12. Apparently they're trying for loans for Marcos Llorente and Sergi Samper to replace him. They'd be better options for us if at all possible, especially Llorente.
  13. Within 5 minutes of his first game at centre-back he was done in the air from a cross and we were losing the derby 1-0. http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/onesport/cps/800/mcs/media/images/70741000/jpg/_70741956_fletcher_getty.jpg To be fair that was his first PL start for the club full stop.
  14. I'm not even sure he's a proper PL player, nevermind top 4.
  15. It's hard to believe that he didn't abuse that Wolves player btw, when you consider the consistency with which he does stupid things.
  16. We are absolutely fucking desperate for a goalkeeper who can command, and calm that defence. You can see why it has been a priority all summer, and I bet Rafa is more furious about that than failures anywhere else.
  17. We didn't have time in the second half to give it a go, that dumb fuck Shelvey got sent off first. Pardew style tactic that. Why not try in the first half? It's not tactics though, it's players. No creativity. It's both. Really poor allround.
  18. Not dramatic at all. 3 times now he's pulled this shite. Bloke's a fucking disgrace.
  19. Up there as one of the most embarrassing footballing experiences of my life. Shite from Rafa, shite from Shelvey, that fat cunt in the stands. Disgraceful from the lot of them.
  20. Like watching a lower league team play in the FA Cup. Depressing tbh, compounded with the injuries. This season is gonna be wank.
