    This is a tragicomedy
  2. Fulham rejected £20 million for him earlier in the summer.
  3. These clubs are treating kids like assets to be collected though. It's unsurprising that it's now reaching a point where they'd rather move on than play in development squads and out on loan for eternity. Same thing has happened with a few Arsenal kids this summer, Willock going to Benfica and Kaylen Hinds to Wolfsburg.
  4. They did the same with an 18 year old Frenchman and that worked out alreet. They'll make a killing off selling this kid back to the PL if he turns out anything like Dembele, Pulisic etc.
  5. Aye that's a fake account. It isn't a fake account, but he's nobody who would know anything. It is a fake account. It's one of those Forest Echo news accounts which just post wind ups.
  6. I think these loan fees are the most scandalous aspect of the current transfer market. Transfers being 5x what they were 10 years ago is mad, but it's only reflecting the fact there's more money circling around. However paying big fees just to lend a player shows how desperate clubs have become to stay on the TV gravy train. Happy to pay a ransom just to plug a gap for a year. It's the one aspect I'd be happy for us not to bother with, but we'll be the ones who look like mugs if we go down and the likes of Swansea stay up.
  7. Origi going on loan to Wolfsburg, £6 million loan fee. That'll be why we stood no chance, and why we'll get fuck all tomorrow. We simply won't play ball with the fees in the market.
  8. No squad places available for new signings then, gotta keep that powder dry.
  9. What?? Seriously, What?? Surprised Chelsea/Man City/Arsenal/Man United aren't in for him. Why would any of those clubs interested in developing a player for Bayern . Only way any of them would have been interested was if Bayern agreed to a loan to buy option which they would never have. Swansea are paying 5 million for the loan and have a 30 million option.
  10. a #10 who can't score or create goals sounds pretty fucking pointless like. We could just bring Obertan back for £2m. This might be just the role he plays in Italy. He has played deeper in a midfield 3 for Samp. Italian teams are more inclined to expect a #10 to be a 'fantasista' ie a Totti, Del Piero, Cassano. In England it is far more normal that a box to box midfielder is pushed forward to play there. I think if Rafa wants Praet he'd make good use of him and would be a good signing. He has a lot of attributes.
  11. Aquilani was far more talented but made of glass. If you go on Praet's twitter account his last post was highlights of him against Benevento. That's a good summary of the kind of player he is. At least in Italy anyway, i can't remember ever watching him for Anderlecht.
  12. Praet is a completely different player to Siem de Jong. He's more mobile and hard working, a decent dribbler and links play. He doesn't score or create enough goals for a #10 though. He's usually played deeper for Sampdoria, and hasn't been as good as billed. I'd have far more confidence in him being a decent PL player than De Jong though.
  13. Nobody signed and rafa gone by the end of the week.
  14. Nothing odd about it. It's just the 11th best league in Europe so a lower standard for players.
  15. Yeah it's absolutely mental. Chelsea are nuts like. That's Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Matic that they've chosen to let go. Twice with Matic
  16. Top scorer this season. Goal machine.
  17. Argieheads on Twitter seem to rate him highly.
  18. Eh? They've just scored a 97th minute winner for a game they'd have left at 4am to watch. They not allowed to celebrate like? Did I say they weren't allowed to celebrate? This "omg they're celebrating like they've won the world cup!!" is the absolute worst craic imagineable though. As if they're supposed to tone down how much they enjoy a last minute winner. They were jumping onto the field ffs. Of course it was over the top. No one's denying their right to celebrate, settle down. So what? Let's lose our shit because we barely squeaked by a team we've outspent by hundreds of millions of pounds. That hardly matters in the moment.
