  1. Giroud is never good enough like. Everton standard player really, not bad but if I was an Arsenal fan I'd be sick having to watch him after the likes of Henry, Bergkamp and van Persie
  2. Wouldn't be going anywhere near Arsenal to go through personally. This is something that hasn't happened since the 70s, 5/1 is garbage odds imo
  3. 'The Other Final' is a good documentary from 2002 on the Bhutan football team. Seems a mint country, and their queen is ludicrously attractive.
  4. Mitres are by far the best footballs to play with IMO
  5. Don't really dislike much of the current Liverpool squad tbh. Who do people hate?

I just can't see them going down. They were nailed on last year and still put the wins together, the competition at the bottom is even worse this year.

Really won't take much to keep them up. Advocaat will win them a couple of games + the gimme that is the derby.

    Best match I've ever seen

Advocaat's Zenit were one of the best footballing sides I've ever seen. Seems to have bounced between jobs every 5 minutes being largely unimpressive outside of that.
  10. Good job we kept hold of Woodman. Woodman looks a decent prospect tbf. God knows why Krul is sitting in his arse there. Declining badly. I'm guessing he was referring to his dad.
  11. Dnipropetrovsk >>>>> boring Seville and Florence
  12. Played against us in 1997 (on the bench in 2002)
  13. Mad how Yarmolenko and Konpolyanka are still kicking about in Ukraine. Good mind.
  14. Sevilla can fuck off, give the Yellow Submarine a chance.
  15. Inter have basically thrown this by playing a 'cup keeper' instead of Handanovic. Ridiculous when their league season will amount to nothing.
  16. Man City got cunt draws because of seeding. Same as Napoli have done. I mean seeding is bollocks IMO but it's the same for everybody in that you have to build it up.
  17. Liverpool and Chelsea both got far in Europe on the back of playing desparately pragmatic stuff. Arsenal got to the final in 2006 by winning 2 legged ties 1-0 on aggregate. Your argument only really works in favour of Man Utd imo, where Fergie really struck the balance well in his latter years. Don't kid yourself, Liverpool turned it up when they needed to under Rafa. Same with Arsenal in 2006. Our teams don't have that Premier League 6th gear to shift up into now. They both played very pragmatic stuff on their runs to the final in 05/06/07, man. I'm not doubting they were in a clearly better state then, but it wasn't on the back of playing free flowing football. Chelsea and Liverpool played 6 games against each other in that period with 3 goals in total.
  18. When have any of Italy, Portugal, France, or Russia sent three teams to the CL Knockout stage? The teams are not going deep, but they also generally don't embarrass themselves. That's actually a bad combination, in terms of coefficient you're better off falling into the Europa league and pulling the points up than making the last 16 and going out (most of Portugal's coefficient comes from that competition).

  20. Nah, Italy are miles back although UEFA cup this year will help. http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/data/method4/crank2014.html Lol @ Portugal when 10/11 falls off next season. Netherlands could be well out of the top 10 within a couple of years if they don't buck their ideas up.
  21. Class player. Just doesn't waste the ball at all. Having him and Veratti in midfield almost completely nullified the sending off. Motta has been one of the most underrated players in Europe for about 10 years imo.
