That's actually a bad combination, in terms of coefficient you're better off falling into the Europa league and pulling the points up than making the last 16 and going out (most of Portugal's coefficient comes from that competition).

Class player. Just doesn't waste the ball at all. Having him and Veratti in midfield almost completely nullified the sending off. Motta has been one of the most underrated players in Europe for about 10 years imo.
