There is an astonishing myth permeated by himself and many that he 'stuck around' when we went down and pulled us back up. Rather than the fact he was damaged goods (for a number of reasons) on stupid wages and he only started 8 games in a 46 game season. -
Whelan is a prime example showing you don't have to be particularly bright to make money. He's genuinely thick as fuck.

Last time I watched the goals broke in the 85th minute. Despite there only being 5 minutes play left they added on 15 more anyway. I remember that, it was the worst reffing I've ever seen. The clock was stopped for like 15 minutes, which I dunno why it happened in the first place since you don't stop the clock in football but they did. Then it resumed play and they added the time on that the clock was stopped for. Essentially 15 extra minutes for no reason whatsoever. It was mental, and the most infuriating thing was that nobody in the crowd, the players or the managers noticed the mistake. Match reports online never mentioned it either. Drove me mental, even though it mattered little because Togo doubled their lead during it. -
Looking at her Twitter the other ones are good like. Never seen them as I don't buy programs.
-
Are they bad like? I'm nee art guru but they don't look that terrible.
-
They won the semi. Then it was the final. I thought Chelsea beat Spurs in the final? That must've been the semi. Cracking match that. Some reason I thought Chelsea won 2-1 with a dodgy goal but i've just checked and it was 5-1! Memory doing me a disservice here. They got 3 late goals to make the scoreline very flattering IIRC

They won the semi.
-
Didn't Carroll score in the final? Yeah he did IIRC. He scored in the FA Cup semi and final that they lost to Chelsea. They won the League Cup.
-
I'm just having a little look through that Ireland team and wondering how the fuck this happened
-
The state of that Ireland team as well. David McGoldrick.

This idea people give local lads a hard time is nonsense. Ameobi had it easy for a decade ffs. People will dish out criticism when players are shite and/or playing badly, that goes without saying. The only exception to the rule is Steven Taylor, but he's a fucking caricature at this point and deserves the stick. -
Even aside from not producing footballers, they're not making up that gap with athletes. Scotland has far, far too many one paced players.
-
There's something seriously wrong with Scotland mind. They used to produce good players historically; last twenty years you'd struggle to name one even approaching top class.
-
It was played at a good tempo the game and we played well. Wilshere and Rooney the standouts obvs. Scotland were poor but look at their squad, it lacks quality all over the park. They could do with producing a couple of top class players again; it's been a while for them.

We had an awful 1-0 the year before that as well didn't we? -
Nah he's comedic bordering on sympathetic for me. That story about him going into the studio on his own to watch a Spurs game then balling his eyes out when they lost to Stoke and needing to be comforted by the make-up lady for example.
-
How can you hate him, he's a harmless little creep.
-
Why are all Chronicle articles written in that 1-line style? Is it a requirement? It's well shit, as if they just assume their entire readership is thick.

Think Crooks is one of my life heroes. Reminder of this one:
-
He looked a good footballer the other night for the U21s but also looks miles off physically.
