  1. Cheers for reminding me why I stopped following these idiots.
  2. He's the perfect fit for their team. They had lots of creative attacking midfielders and no proper mobile, single-minded centre forward to make real use until now. Cisse would be great for them too. We had imbalanced attacking options (whole squad, in fact) in terms of two #9s that can't play together and a real shortage decent attacking midfielders/wide players. Either square pegs trying to fit into round holes or a shapeshifting peg with an aversion to being round. We could still easily come out of this a more balanced team, but certainly not if we pussyfoot around signing a replacement while important games come thick and fast.
  3. Why would he want to win that, nobody wants to be known as a COC holder. Wembley Final most likely against Bradford is an open goal and what every young lad wants to play football for. Win a cup at Wembley and Europa football next season. He'd be bonkers to leave them for us or Sunderland now. Yeah I know, was just making a shite joke.
  4. Apparently he can speak Italian, Spanish alongside obviously Danish and English... He can also understand but not speak Swedish & Japanese...
  5. They do after extra time Then what help are they going to be to Swansea when Chelsea now have to score 2 goals in Swansea to level the tie. Are you dense? Chelsea have have to score at least 2 goals to level the tie which would make it level after ET on away goals. There is no situation where the away goals rule will put Swansea through so why did the commentator emphasise the importance of them for Swansea. He's emphasising the importance of them because now Chelsea have to win away from home by two goals? My point is why did he emphasise the importance of Swansea's lead being with 2 away goals, their goals being away goals have no importance, them being 2 goals up is the only importance. It's just semantics though isn't it. He was praising them for going and winning 0-2 away from home in a first leg and making it very difficult for Chelsea to get through, now Chelsea have to do the same to even stand a chance. I really don't think the fact that on a technicality Swansea can't actually win on the away goals rule matters. Because of the scoreline it wouldn't matter anycase, as Chelsea have to score at least 2 to save the tie. Yeah - away from home, which is going to be hard. Which is exactly why Swansea doing it is impressive and worthy of commentary praise.

He's right, there's no scoreline where the 2 away goals help Swansea if the scores were level after the two games. They've scored 2 goals away from home. That's why they're useful.
  10. Swansea - Bradford cup final  fuck's sake. shut the club down now.

  13. He's the perfect self-minded, physical compliment to their midfield talent mind unfortunately and will score goals.
  14. He's been on about 4 seconds mate
  15. Actually a better record than I thought he had.
  16. Yep. Lost the first leg 2-1 away, but scored in the 2nd minute of the game, so it's to be expected Celta will fold badly as the match goes on. 2 legged cup ties
  17. Read the other day that their tax laws are changing, will that even the score a bit? May be wrong, but I'm sure this will weaken their hand even further.
  18. It's nowhere near as nice as Newcastle. I mean that sincerely. Although, it's an hour to lake como, where I believe the Milan/Inter players have trained. Yep. Never seen anything as beautiful as some of the Italian countryside, lakes and old cities. Italy is beautiful in loads of ways - weather, culture, food, architecure, countryside etc. Plenty of problems though in terms of corruption, mafia, iffy administration, crappy infrastructure, and prevelant racist/homphobic attitudes. I love the place, but not convinced I could live there like my Grandad does. Certainly not in the major cities.
