  1. Plays like a Knightmare contestant, funnily enough. The absolute definition of the term 'not standing the test of time' that show like.
  2. don't let the press get a hold of that
  3. Interesting point. Maybe there's truth to this whole French/Spanish-speaking thing Macdonald got a lot of abuse on here for and Colo feels that he's not valued any more. When you look at the Debuchy transfer it makes you wonder about the influence Cabaye now has at the club. Sorry like I don't buy the 'not valued' thing at all. They valued him by making him the highest paid player at the club, the manager compared him to Bobby Moore. Even Cabaye has mentioned in interviews in the past that he sees Colo as out best player. The players all seem to admire and respect him, for me this is either something in his personal life or something directly related to the manager.

    Alan Pardew

Sick of his stupid face and his stupid quotes stinking out the club. Wish he'd go.
  5. If it was rubbish it'd have been nipped in the bud immediately. It has been rumbling on in the background for ages, and the one thing that the dopey manager doesn't seem obliged to comment on.
  6. We won't even get a 'decent price' for him. His heart is set on a return to San Lorenzo and they have no money. If he goes he's gonna go cheap.

The quotes are basically an attempt to cover his own back (performances) and also the board's for not improving the squad (suggesting they assumed could rely on the youngsters). Pretty cowardly stuff on the whole.

    Loïc Remy

Two injured players, one who's not expected back till February.
  9. First Burundian to play in the Premier League. Now we want to be trailblazers for the Gabonese and the Central African Republic. #investinafrica
  10. Harper, Xisco and Simpson's wages out, Sissoko's wages in guess who wins again.
  11. I've always thought he was shite personally, but I remember a West Ham fan on Twitter last season trying to tell me he was better than Colo.
  12. every single word. Except the bit about being able to control when signings happen during the window, which is horseshit Yeah, it's not like they've had plenty of time to prepare for his departure or anything.

Aubameyang's career path is very similar to Colo's. Signed by Milan at a young age, very few appearances - loaned out to numerous clubs in a country that speaks his language before finding a permanent move and fulfilling his potential. Both have footballing fathers too.
  14. Again trying our best to sort out the most high profile bargain out there regardless of whether it's a priority position. I mean from what I can tell he'll be a coup and would offer us something different in midfield (genine box to box play hopefully) but the priorities both positionally and in terms of our short term situation should be far more important.
  15. Not really. They're in the fourth tier now, they'll be in the 3rd tier next season with or without the reshuffle.
  16. Cheers for reminding me why I stopped following these idiots.
  17. He's the perfect fit for their team. They had lots of creative attacking midfielders and no proper mobile, single-minded centre forward to make real use until now. Cisse would be great for them too. We had imbalanced attacking options (whole squad, in fact) in terms of two #9s that can't play together and a real shortage decent attacking midfielders/wide players. Either square pegs trying to fit into round holes or a shapeshifting peg with an aversion to being round. We could still easily come out of this a more balanced team, but certainly not if we pussyfoot around signing a replacement while important games come thick and fast.
