This is predictable. It was always going to start happening after this season, quality players like Hatem are seeing their peak footballing years being potentially wasted fighting relegation/finishing midtable. Our only hope is hanging onto them over the summer and having a much better season next year, because there's no chance the likes of Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Cisse etc will put up with another year of relegation firefighting and dire hoofball.

Crap .. Very good player. Only got released due to financial issues. Not saying he will become a premier league star. But could end up doing a good job for a championship team wanting promotion. Hes a better player than Mile Jedinak, Crystal Palaces captain. How come he only made 10 starts in 2 seasons for them?

It's an interesting piece from the fat, hairy cunt in that he is trying to offer a different side to the argument but I just can't agree with the premise. Spurs have signed the agreement because despite being ran very well for a number of years, being profitable and constantly improving their side there is nothing they can do to get close to Chelsea and Man City who can simply offer and spend more money they should really have. They're seeing their policies, revenue and profitibility being put to waste and the same can be said to Arsenal who apart from some naff signings in recent years are an exceptionally well ran club. Clubs like ourselves, Everton, mackems, Villa etc will similarly back such a policy because it will reign in City/Chelsea and open the door. It seems to me the only reason for his argument is that City/Chelsea can get one over Man Utd. On the whole though the megarich ownership unfairly fucks over most of the teams far more than a revenue based system does.

His buyout clause is 8 million euros but we could probably get him even cheaper than that. One that should be looked at without doubt.

Over you maybe, over Juventus? No way. Juventus will offer him backup/rotation wages. Their midfield is pretty cemented with Pirlo/Marchisio/Vidal, plus Pogba and Asamoah (who has yet to even play in his best position because of this strength). In fact I can't even really see them being in for him.

Would be interested to know VI's thoughts on Leo Baptistao. 20 year old Brazilian striker/second striker at Vallecano, 6 goals and 6 assists in 17 games this season. Always looked good when I seen him and has an EU passport. Obviously thinking more in the summer than now.

Vagner Love has gone back to CSKA. Weird one since he seemed desperate to go back to Brazil for ages (2 loan spells and then permanent move to Flamengo). Also interesting to see if that will mean a move for Doumbia to somebody.
