If that's the case then why has he bought Chamakh, and then Giroud and targeted the likes of Llorente? I don't know but Chamakh has never really figured and Giroud simply doesn't look like an Arsenal player. Either way, Wenger will not sign another centre-forward type like Ba. Chamakh has never figured recently cos he's crap, but he still signed him as a first team player and started him when he first went there. He just spent £12 million on Giroud. How can you come to the conclusion Wenger definitely won't sign a 'centre forward type like Ba', when he's regularly signing one-paced centre forwards that rely on service rather than quick/interchangeable position types. I wouldn't pigeonhole Ba in either category personally, but I don't understand your argument when there is recent evidence to the contrary.

Point is more that they've just spend £70 million or so British players that have basically all failed completely, and now they're signing more. Ince is a player who I'd have taken here from what I've seen but for £18 million those two aren't going to push them any closer to the top clubs. I thought they'd have widened their approach by now. Bollocks. Someone is not telling the truth, if this clause exists I can't believe that the issue hasn't been sorted out after one year, nor that nobody seriously came in for him knowing about this. Bah, football clubs use to risk much more than this, Abramovich splashed 50 millions on a player who had been consistently shit for 2 years, I guess it wouldn't be too daring to spend 7 millions on a more than decent striker like Ba (especially if you're desperate, like Liverpool), even if his health is not guaranteed He's been offered a contract. The problem is that it is not enough.

Reckon it'll be Marveaux that goes, which would be a bit of a shame.
