  1. We were probably hoping there was an outside chance of him stepping up to Championship level and us squeezing a transfer fee at some point - as he'd played a lot of footy successfully in good 3rd tier clubs up until his injury last year (85 games for Plymouth and Wigan across two seasons, going up as champions with the latter). Now I'd imagine he goes on a free at the end of the season.
  2. Cool. Sort of explains why Westendorf went there now. Got to say I'd prefer it if we made a more formal link with Gateshead. I don't think there is a much difference in standard between the NL and the Norn Irish league and the proximity is so much closer that players don't even have to move and can even bounce between both clubs pretty freely.
  3. I still think he's probably better suited as the deepest midfielder than as one of the number 8s, and that will end up being where he plays with Bruno further forward.
  4. Am I the only one that doesn't really give a fuck about Bruce? I had checked out so much by the point he was in charge that he barely registers any feelings at all.
  5. Bruce thread was locked so could only think to put it in here
  6. Ye correct. They're also doing a similar more permanent one in the Spanish City in Whitley.
  7. I went to see the Nets at Barclays Centre and the Rangers at MSG when I was there. MSG was a far better live experience. Both as hockey being a better sport to see live and as an arena in general.
  8. Man United, based on the tactics board.
  9. Love that it seems to cover all aspects from the team to the ownership.
  10. Not necessarily. It will likely just mean they're applying for temporary planning permission for a three year period, like the other Stack was (and many of these kind of venues are). If anything it makes sense to do it for longer than you expect it to be to there for to avoid needing to reapply to extend the consent (Stack had to extend their consent at the HMRC site as it ran out). But I'd imagine it's going to be at least two years until they break ground on any extension tbh.

    Garang Kuol

Not likely in a place like Volendam. Rural Holland can be very different to urban areas like Amsterdam
  12. Yep, pretty sure it's number one in UEFA if I remember correctly. Scotland is second. A groundhopping trip there has been high on my agenda for a while now. Will get round to it eventually.
  13. It has 6 probable starters in it, though. It's not that poor.
  14. Yeah if there's a release clause at that price he's got to be looked at.

    Harvey Barnes

We obviously need the ASM sale to go through first.
  16. Yup, which is why they'd rather flog KWP than him if they can. It's also worth considering one of the reasons a high fee isn't such a big deal for us if we get him in on 40-50k a week.
  17. Proven PL performer, 26 year old with 3 years left on his contract. Anything up to 40 million would be perfectly reasonable IMO, especially considering the Neves fee. If it's 45-60 I'd say that's into piss taking territory.
  18. Not really accurate. He played pretty much every game as an 18/19 year old in the only season he's had, then got a bad injury. He was injured last year when they went down.
  19. I reckon there's a pretty good chance they'd rather shift KWP instead. Be on higher wages and older, more likely to be pushing for a PL move. It's probably one of the main reasons they're resistant to a sale.
  20. I think Tierney makes sense personally. He's better going forward than Burn/Targett but still pretty balanced defensively and can play in a back 3 like he does for Scotland.
  21. Hall has played centre mid/left midfield all the way through youth level btw. Only switched to left back when he got into the first team.
  22. I think we're just about OK in midfield. Possibly marginally light but it's a balancing act to avoid adding too many purples that won't play. Depends how Miley does as well although it is a lot to ask a 17 year old to contribute significantly beyond cup appearances.
  23. I think Anderson has looked decent as one of the number 8s in midfield. Hoping he can kick on this season. Think his ability to drift wide from LCM will work quite well if Barnes is cutting into the centre.
