The Europeometerâ„¢ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
ponsaelius replied to Rich's topic in Football
All 3 is better. Max Spurs can get in 69 which is basically 68 with their goal difference. A Spurs win and this is all over. -
Spurs win is ideal. They have a game less and much worse goal difference. And much lower chance of winning all their games.
-
Had an absolutely horrible feeling about this game like. Fuck's sake.

Newcastle United vs. Southampton: 30/04/23 @ 14:00 (No UK TV)

The fact our only gubbing of the season came when he didn't play says a lot about his importance. -
Greyhounds stuffing Nate's side

It's an awful set of fixtures like. Going along to Blyth instead. They could do with the support today for anybody at a loose end.
-
UEFA have made concessions for years to appease out of fear of a breakaway league. It's not them that's the issue, it's the cabal of big clubs who have pushed the agenda.
-
Fair market value seems such BS. But whatever. Double it in a couple of seasons.

Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)
ponsaelius replied to SUPERTOON's topic in Football
His distribution is better than Burn's and he will at least potentially put a cross in now and again from open play. He also offers a left foot set piece option which mixes things up. I do think there's things Burn offers that he doesn't IE aerially defensively and in terms of character/aggression for certain occasions. But personally I prefer Targett as a footballer. There's no doubt both are probably midtable players though. -
Isak by a mile in my opinion. Dribbling is a harder skill than passing.
-
No chance unfortunately.
-
Can hypothesize about our midseason decline and what caused it but think the main reason was we didn't have a competent or fit striker for an extended period. Goals break tight games open, particularly the way we play. God knows where we'd be if we'd had these versions of Wilson and Isak available all season.
-
Did you see his on-pitch interview after the match? You can tell his ego has been hit quite a bit with Isak being so good. Not a bad thing though because it's clearly motivating him to up his game.

Leicester could basically relegate the Ev on Monday like, kinell

Ref is giving every little 50/50 man

Almiron playing that underhit pass back to Trippier when he's just been crocked had me on the fucking ceiling
-
If we could get our shit together we'd be fine here. The passing has been unbelievably sloppy for no reason. Feel like me hearts beating outside my chest.

Everton vs. Newcastle United: 27/04/23 @ 19:45 (BT Sport)

Can only imagine it's Burn across into the middle. -
Got to say it'll be interesting to see if any of our players end up in the PL Team of the Season. I think Trippier is a pretty good bet but not sure outside of that.

I had a thread a long while back using football ground map. I might bump it up. Here's mine: https://www.footballgroundmap.com/sewelly

Pope was probably player of the season at one point but the red card before the cup final blotted his copybook. For overall consistency of performance I'd say Schar - but you could make a case for loads of players.
-
Very unlikely Liverpool drop many points between now and the end of the season. Will probably push the total required points up.
-
Ando was insufferable when we were bad like. It's the polar opposite now we're good, he's fucking hilarious
-
Tbh he has most got caught on the ball in the past when he's been asked to be the deepest midfielder. Don't doubt the improvement but a lot of it is just down to position imo.

Joeyt posts more about how much Wrexham annoy him than people actually post about Wrexham
