Henry is replaced by Pedro and Barcelona score...
-
Why?
-
I know great goalscorers are meant to stand around and do nowt but it's amazing what happens when you try to close defenders/keepers down.
-
Barcelona should've bought a LW in the summer because Henry is rubbish these days. He's not a threat at all and so everything has to come down the right wing. For some reason though Messi is now just hanging around centrally for no apparent reason so Alves is always isolated. The only tactic is pass it wide to Alves and lob it in the box even though no one can head it.

Kadar is alright if he's with either Taylor or Colo. So as long as both of them don't get injured at the same time we'll be alright.

In whose eyes? I'll be the first to admit it's hardly the most imaginative terrace banter ever. It's vulgar and offensive. Unfortunately the pseudo intellectuals on here don't do either of those, for fear it outs them as the uncouth, gibbering gimps that they actually are. The only place that seems to still be debating the validity of the banner is here and, to be completely honest mate, I had you down as a borderline spastic anyway. Also, in what way did it have an impact? It didnt have an impact, i thought thats what you were arguing in the context of the stewards policy. No one noticed it. Funny that but plenty of media outlets noticed the 'not welcome @ st james park'". Why? Because like proper football banter, it was funny, slightly clever and entertaining. I only commented because it seemed a bit contradictory. Anyway, i research and develop genetic treatments for cancer for a very healthy living, am more borderline genius tbh. Your last sentence shows i lost you in less than 3 sentences of basic argument. Draw your own conclusions on our relative intelligence. The debate about the 'impact' of the banner was whether it sparked the removal of banners or not. A few lads have pointed out, it blatantly didn't as other banners were being confiscated prior the showing of the 'Fat Cockney Rapist' banner. If you didn't come into the debate like a bull in china shop crying about how the banner reflects badly on you then you may have noticed this. No-one is saying the banner will change anything or influence Ashley, other banners may have been picked up on by the media but they didn't change anything. Ashley knows the fans and media are both against him now anyway and he hasn't altered his reckless behaviour. The banners are to show Ashley what we think of him and the 'Fat Cockney Rapist' one was perfect for doing this. People who aren't intellectually challenged will realise that 'rapist' has more than one meaning and so is hardly a bad banner (if the banner was 'we hope Ashley dies' or whatever, then you may have a point), if the media or anyone else wants to cry about it then let them.

How are we going to sign someone better than Bassong? It would take a massive scouting effort or lots of money and we don't have either. Taylor and Colo is easily a good enough PL partnership (at least for survival), look at some of the crap at the bottom clubs. Paul McShane!?!?! The team that got relegated wasn't (on paper) the 18th worst team in division. It was all the other crap during the year that conspired to send us down. That and Nicky Butt.
-
I'd agree. I haven't really watched him much to be honest but I think he play Sheff Utd's POTY last year and as long as we keep Taylor and Colo he should be a decent back up. Their can't be that many bottom half PL teams with better back ups than Kilgallon, who the hell are Wolves and Hull etc. third choice CBs? Price has to be right obviously but he won't be that much, not with his contract running out.
-
Work permit stuff according to Phelan so nowt to do with Cleverley by the sound of it. I don't think Cleverley is good enough now (or will be in the future) to play week in week out for Man U, from what I've seen off him.
-
He stopped playing right back in his mid teens, a few years before he even played professionally.
-
They'll be there or thereabouts but I still can't see them going down, teams like that always seem to flirt with relegation but always survive, bit like Bolton.
-
Blackburn won't get relegated this year nor the next and most people seem to think we're going straight back down next season without investment (which won't take place) so he'd leave to play PL football season on season.

Abidal isn't as good as Cole. He's getting closer and closer to his best but he's still not there yet. Evra is better than Abidal as well IMO. Jose best in the world obviously.

It's called teamwork. It's not their fault Harewood is incapable of bringing anyone else into play, or dragging players out of position or generally being a menace. We've won with Harewood-Lovenkrands, Ranger alone, Carroll alone, Shola-Carroll, Ranger-Carroll, so who cares as long as we keep winning?
-
Des Hamilton would've been on peanuts. Guivarc'h would've been on canny wedge though, especially after -98
-
I was just saying he hadn't spent much money. I'm not saying whether its right or wrong it's just a fact.
-
Unless Hargreaves could help in spirit he'd be as useful as Wenger's mam.
-
He said he only ever came to Newcastle for the money, that's quite bad. Or classless at least.
-
Don't remember Wenger's arms being tied to sell any of them. I don't remember saying they were. All I'm saying is that he hasn't spent that much money. Arsenal are mid table or something in spending since the turn of the century.
-
Adebayor £20, Toure £18m, Henry £20m. They haven't spent that much, not net spend anyway.

Allardyce is playing three forwards tonight. It was heart surgery and not brain surgery he had wasn't it?
