Ancelotti now only needs one more European Cup to overtake Paisley as most wins as manager and to equal the record for most wins as player or manager. Such a good record in Europe but he has only won 6 league titles in in his career which is strange (only 3 as a manager in nearly 20 years, obviously not all 20 years at great clubs but still a weird record).

Don't know why he keeps going back to the 4-4-2, doesn't suit our best players IMO. Cabaye is clearly better playing ahead of a midfield two and Ben Arfa is much better with the shackles off. 4-4-2 means that Ben Arfa is the last line of defence before the RB so he has much more responsibility than in a 4-3-3. Ben Arfa will generally play well wherever he's played but I don't think he's a winger in a 4-4-2 despite what some have said. Let's hope we avoid 4-4-2 more next season, especially in Europe. Still, overall a quality season and I'm glad we've got a manager who can actually move away from 4-4-2 and play the 4-2-3-1 (which is what we've really played IMO, rather than a 4-3-3)

Agree with most of that , but small point to add, Colo was actually Hughton's vice captain I think, he captained us when Nolan was out even when Barton played (against Wigan for sure anyway). Once Nolan left Colo was pretty much odds on favourite to take over anyway.

Don't care if he leaves but I won't slag him off. I know some have had issues with his attitude but lets be honest its a world away from some we've had in recent years... Everyone at the club should be replaced if we can get better (Colo, Krul etc. included), so don't have a big problem if he goes. Only slight worry I've got is our depth for next season, Tavernier still hasn't been offered a contract I don't think so I'm not sure what situation we'll be in regarding fullbacks, then again, I wouldn't want to bow down to stupid demands.
